Were you aiming at A, B, or C?

I sure hope you weren't using instinctive aiming, otherwise known as "experience".

Or the other method known as "Feel".

She should teach him a lesson of "Hit a million balls."

Stinkin' naysayers causing nothing but trouble.

I feel that everybody has an aiming system. To some it may be totally subconscious but they're aiming at something, I do believe. And face it, Mr. Mosconi had a system too. For me, starting out, it was the 'Ghost Ball System' of aiming. That was way back in 1965 and also, if I recall correctly, I got it from Mosconi's 'red book'. For a while now I have been suplementing my aiming with a system using the edge of the ferrule. So there is absolutely no naysaying on my end at all!!:)

It's amazing but it appears that aiming alone does not work. You need the whole package working together for success. You need to be able to hit what you're aiming at but if you cannot aim properly it just 'don't' work. And this is only part of the equation. This game is very complex and that you should understand, but on the flip side side you don't want to make it too complicated. What it boils down to is to practice and to practice with a purpose in mind.
