Albuquerque Pool School Archer/Strickland

I would like to know if anyone would be interested in attending a 4 hour pool school In Albuquerque, NM on Saturday May 31st at The Billiard Palace. The school will begin at 11.00 and end at 3.00 in the afternoon, there will be a maximum of 10 students in the class so as to make sure that everyone gets the 1 on 1 attention. The fee for the full four hours is only $200.00 per person; the instructors are two of the greatest players to have ever played the game, Earl (The Pearl) Strickland and Johnny (The Scorpion) Archer. We are only 95% sure of this happening at this point and so I need some feedback and or commitments for this to happen. Also in the evening at 7.00 Johnny and Earl will perform an exhibition and give some of the spectators a chance to play a game against them and the night will end with a challenge match between one of the champions and an unknown opponent. If you are in attendance at the pool school you will also receive free admission to the evening?s events. If you are interested or have any questions please let me know on here so as to keep the thread bumped and also email me your intentions and cell # and I will put you on the list. Thanks, oops my email is mark@myeclipsemedia.com

Bump, I know that the folks in NM are just getting off work, I want them to see this. I know it is shameless advetising but hey.

Ok, this is going well. We have only one spot left for the pool school in NM, if you are interested please email me ASAP to secure your spot. Thanks,
Mark,

I posted this on another thread but as i have learned some people won't click on certain threads based on who started them so for that as well as some unrequested advertising for what mark is offering here i provide the following.

My experience at the Archer/Strickland pool school.
Kolby's corner pocket billiards Tempe AZ.

Due to work i showed up at 2 minutes to 1 P.M. and just made it. I can appreciate what comes up in people's lives but for those who couldn't attend ....it was an incredible afternoon of pool. 6 people, split up into 2 groups for 2 hours with 1 pro, then 2 more with the other. I got johnny first and I'll tell you 1 thing. I don't think i've met a more geniune person in pool. I could tell that he was really paying close attention to all of us during his observation of our shooting. He noticed something in my game that I would have never noticed on my own and helped me correct it. If johnny sees this I'll just say the words "Fishing line" Then we switched and the Earl show began. I wasn't sure what to expect but what i saw amazed me. The stroke....stevie wonder even noticed that, but more importantly was the patience earl exibited. I blew the same shot like 5 times but he kept with it until i finally nailed it. I could see the love he has for the game, pumping us up when we did well. He took the whole time seriously and that is exactly what i was hoping for. I could've seen a scenairo where these 2 champs just strolled in, punched the clock, went through the motions watching the clock the whole time and at the 3:59 mark start to unscrew. But they went past the 4 hour mark and seemingly couldn't care when they found the door. All in all a memorable experience and a special thanks to Mark and kolby's as well. And looking back on the day as much as I do wish Mark could have had 20 or more......I am guessing the 6 of us who attended wouldn't have changed a thing. I probably missed a bunch of stuff but i hope this gives a glimpse for those who didn't pull the trigger. Next time maybe...

For those in NM thinking about it.....stop thinking and go for it.
