It's great to see Ronnie Alcano get a lucrative sponsorship deal with Guinness brewery. Now, wouldn't it be wonderful to see Budweiser sponsor Cory Duell, John Schmidt, or some other top American player???

This might be good, is some way. Reyes and Busta are already seeded to the next WPC anyways. This will allow some of the Filipino players waiting on the wing to finally qualify which could increase the total number of Filipinos on the next WPC.
Just for the sake of discussion, what will happen if some Taiwanese, German and American players get their own beer sponsorship and San Miguel Beer decided to be the major sponsor of WPC?

That would be a lot of fun to watch the marketing that the beer companies would do.
With the kind of endorsement money that Guinness is putting up, Bud and Miller could pull that out of the executive secretary's office kitty money.
With pool growing more popular every day, you would think the beer companies would want to target the leagues and such.

Trust me, if the money in any aspect of pool was comparable to other sports many of the members on this forum would have quit their day jobs ages ago. As matter of fact, they would never have had them!
