" About 4 weeks later a cuemaker friend of mine who I had informed about the theft, asked me about having leather wraps split in a phone conversation. He explained that Joe Fiscella, the owner of Triangle Billiards (Retail Pool Table/ Gameroom Store)in Orange, CA (a mile or less from my home) had provided him with 7 different unsplit wraps for him (shown below) to evaluate and offer a price on the entire lot. I immediately informed my friend that those wraps were the ones stolen off my porch. I went to Triangle and saw Joe. I asked about the wraps and was told they were "at another location." I then told Joe the wraps were stolen from me. He then said he didn't have the wraps, they belonged to a 45 year-old woman (or leprechaun, Easter Bunny) who came in his store. He had her phone number in the back room. When he came out of the back room, he said his helpers had "cleaned up" and must have threw the paper away that had her number. "She'll probably call back" (never did)."
This is the part of the story that bothers me!! Obviously (at least to me) this Joe Fiscella has some complicity in the matter and the detective seems to be buying his story.
I do feel badly for you. The whole situation seems effed up.
