This is just a really cool video from Alex on what Paul Thornley (Canadian champion) did for his career. He mentions the influence of the Filipino greats, but says that Paul Thornley really was his mentor. Paul had the privilege to introduce Alex during Alex’s induction into the BCA Hall of Fame a few years ago.

I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Paul Thornley, whose snooker credentials I knew of, at the 2019 International Open when Paul was in attendance to introduce Alex at the BCA Hall of Famer. I did not find out until a week later that Paul and highly esteemed AZB poster PT109 were one of the same.

He's a super nice guy, but he is a guy with a great understanding of and appreciation for the history and lore of cue sports. Alex is lucky to have had Paul in his corner for all these years.
