Hang on...are you telling me that there are two unknown players with 200 ball runs in your country? Definitely possible, lots of good players these days. But are you also saying they play the Eurotour and never have taken a top 32??? Are you suggesting that there are 40-100 European players that play levels above these 200 ball runners and deny them the opportunity to even tickle the cash? That's quite a stretch. I am a 126 ball runner with 3 total 100 ball runs. It isn't my best game, but I play it alright. Meanwhile I've cashed 4/4 US Opens in 33rd, 33rd, 25th, and 17th. I don't understand how a 200 ball runner couldn't win a few matches once in a while. It doesn't add up.
Look, I don't know enough about snooker to do comparisons about run difficulty. But this idea that snooker players are better at what they do than pool players are at what they do is odd. I think you might have more top players due to the prize pool, so maybe the #100 snooker player is better than what they do than the #100 pool player, that happens when money drives the world. But the elite are the elite.
I understand that some people need tin gods and since there is no way to ever put the issue to bed I can accept the fact there will never be agreement on this. But if nothing else I had to get more info on these 200 ball runners that can't cash in a weekly tournament!
There is A LOT of pool players that can make 200 balls, that list is crap, I know 2 guys in my country that nobody knows outside it that have made it training (they play some Eurotours and never went further than last 32)...
The 14.1 list is a list with (alive) players that have made a >200 runout (each one probably has made several...), the snooker one is a list of all 147's, not players, if fact only 44 distinct players have made a 147... now add to your list how many unknown chinese and taiwanese players have made >200 balls training and at least you will x2 that list.
Also, official 14.1 matches are usually played to less than 200 points, so there is no chance...
