All Ebony Bluegrass

Has anyone ever seen an ebony Bluegrass similar to his BEM or Cocobolo cues that are often for sale? I think it would look sweet to see his ring work on an all ebony cue.

Please post a pic if you have one.

That's kind of disappointing. I thought it would look better than that.

LOL honesty!

-Roger (in agreement...though I think the wrap is a culprit, as are the bulky rings)

If I'm not mistaken, DJKEYS owns this cue and I think he is thinking about replading the wrap with Tiger Stack Wrap.

The photos don't do that cue justice. I had that cue- the blocks are all ivory. It is a fantasic piece of work- and the ebony is uniform black. I originally wanted a sneaky pete- Roy sold it and he offered me that cue. I bought it and really enjoyed it. I had to sell it because I had too many players cue and the temptation to switch around was so great.

Bluegrass cues play really stiff. I really like them. I recently got a Bender (all ebony as well) and I am really enjoying it.

Peter is right. This cue is gorgeous in person, but of course, everything is personal taste. The ringwork is ivory, silver and ebony, and it came with matching JPs. Those are probably worth something as well. It is not a cored forearm, so it has a balance point almost 20 inches from the butt. The cue does most of the work, it is a great player. I am going to change the wrap and am still deciding what to do with it, stack leather, lizard, smooth pigskin, still deciding.

Wow an all ebony cue that is not cored. I personally like the way the cue looks. I have a black lizard wrap on my Capone and it is flawless and feels great to the hand.

New Wrap

Here are some pics with the new smooth black leather wrap. I think this much improves the look (and feel) of the cue.
