Really nice! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

But...I count 8 layers...:confused:

Ah...never mind. The finished cue shows 7 layers...I guess that bottom black ring ended up under the wrap, I was counting on the first pic, unfinished.

Not the same but close enough. Gives the cue a perfect, classic look. I'm loving it. No school like the old school.

Good catch, I was just looking at the solid white

Yours has the extra nickel, very classy

Neither here nor there. Both are timeless designs. I get out of work in an hour and going straight to the pool hall. Can't wait to see how this cue feels when striking whitey.

Nice Bushka rings, both of you. Believe there was probably one more difference, other than the nickel rings bordering the white ring.. I think George primarily used a phenolic/plastic for the white in the middle, while this example from Pete looks to be ivory, though could be melamine, with the grain appearance.. Both are great old school.

All the best,
WW

Thanks for the comments guys! The cue really is a player. I was able to put about 20 hours on it this weekend. This one plays amazingly well. Very happy with it.

And to WW, Pete gave me the option of the white phenolic or Ivory. I told him whatever he thinks would look the best. He went with the Ivory.
