All Japan 10 Ball Championship 2013 (21-24Nov2013)

I have the same question. Maybe someone will notice our questions and comment.

I'm guessing it's a temporary stick-on kind of "magic rack". You leave it on the table all the time, so it must be very thin and high quality. And it can be used for any game! I want one!

Starting around 2005, and right up til 2008 when I left Japan they were using little plastic punch outs for the rack. They would take a hole puncher, and make several plastic dots with adhesive on one side. Then carefully place each dot where a ball should be in the rack. This seemed to eliminate the divots that eventually appear in the rack area, and if the dots are installed correctly, gives you a pretty perfect rack that can be hand racked. I also remember the plastic dots were thin enough that they didn't affect the course of balls. I'm not sure if this is what's being used in this years All Japan, as I haven't seen any photos or videos, but as of 2008 this seemed to be catching on in the Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Ibaraki areas.

Efren beats Orcullo11-9  still undefeated in this tourney. Go Effie!! Show em' how it's done.

Too bad they are not streaming it
Fu lost on stream table 1 . Wonder who is next on stream
Pagalayan just lost
Thorsten stil in dogfight hill hill
Ko playing Han hao Xiang now

Lol! Efren is about to dispose the World Cup of pool champs in 1 day. That would be epic, hope I don't jinx him.

Recently, the magic rack (rack sheet) is in heavier use than the stickers. I haven't seen this year's rack yet, but when I was at Amagasaki last year for the national amatuer championships (the same place the all japan is held) they were using a rack shaped sticker that is basically a permanent magic rack. The only place I have seen this used is in big tournaments in Kansai, most people seem to prefer the magic rack or the stickers.

Thorsten still steady and moving to play smiling joker Oi
This Johann Chua guy is going deep. So is Ignacio while all other top guns falling like pins

I agree, laughable!

To think any pro player playing a tourney of the Japan open's quality would strive for anything other than total domination would be wrong.

I am going to side with Cory hard to figure you out? Thorsten will win Japan open he dominates every aspect of pool imo

LOL, i just realized that. i'm sure the Efren-LeeVan match would be awesome.

so far, i think it's just Efren & LeeVan, and two local players Johann "bubwit" Chua and Jeff Ignacio representing the Philippines.
wait, where's carlo biado? any news from him?

Tantalising Thorsten v Ko semi coming up
Other half is much tougher. Efren is on a roll 3-1. If he wins he meets Chang in quarters. Mika vs Johann in other quarters :)

Carlo lost to Ko Pin Yi yesterday 11-9. He was on a massive comeback after being down 10-4 and closing the gap 10-9. Guess he met his match :grin-square:

Joker in the pack, Oi is not joking now leading Thorsten 9-6
Mika in trouble also 5/9 Efren coming from behind 7-9 Come on Efren
