I have the same question. Maybe someone will notice our questions and comment.
I'm guessing it's a temporary stick-on kind of "magic rack". You leave it on the table all the time, so it must be very thin and high quality. And it can be used for any game! I want one!
:thumbup::thumbup:Efren beats Orcullo11-9  still undefeated in this tourney. Go Effie
Lol.......
wow! now it's Lee Van vs. Efren
Starting around 2005, and right up til 2008 when I left Japan they were using little plastic punch outs for the rack. They would take a hole puncher, and make several plastic dots with adhesive on one side. Then carefully place each dot where a ball should be in the rack. This seemed to eliminate the divots that eventually appear in the rack area, and if the dots are installed correctly, gives you a pretty perfect rack that can be hand racked. I also remember the plastic dots were thin enough that they didn't affect the course of balls. I'm not sure if this is what's being used in this years All Japan, as I haven't seen any photos or videos, but as of 2008 this seemed to be catching on in the Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Ibaraki areas.

Lol! Efren is about to dispose the World Cup of pool champs in 1 day. That would be epic, hope I don't jinx him.
I agree, laughable!
To think any pro player playing a tourney of the Japan open's quality would strive for anything other than total domination would be wrong.
LOL, i just realized that. i'm sure the Efren-LeeVan match would be awesome.Lol! Efren is about to dispose the World Cup of pool champs in 1 day. That would be epic, hope I don't jinx him.

so far, i think it's just Efren & LeeVan, and two local players Johann "bubwit" Chua and Jeff Ignacio representing the Philippines.
wait, where's carlo biado? any news from him?
Carlo lost to Ko Pin Yi yesterday 11-9. He was on a massive comeback after being down 10-4 and closing the gap 10-9. Guess he met his match :grin-square:
