Anyone knows about other cloth similar to Simonis 860 and budget price?

What is the best cloth for the money? (budget).

Look into Strachan (formerly Milliken) Super-Pro cloth.

The problem is as soon as you get into budget cloth you stray from quality no matter what you do. Quality of worsted wool is measured in both its accuracy and speed.

Most worsted wool cloth is pretty good on accuracy but where you can really tell the difference is in the speed.

If you go with 3030 cloth you will find it is more akin to 760 Simonis speedwise.

The Milliken Super-pro cloth you will find to be between 760 and 860 Simonis.

The 3030 isnt going to hold up for as long as Simonis but the Milliken should hold up as well or better than the Simonis.

Hope that helps you out some.

It´s same price as simonis. Looking for half or less the price of simonis.

Like I said- you arent going to find anywhere near the quality of simonis for half the price. For half the price you might as well go to your local carpet store and buy some shag runners.

My advice would be to save up a bit more and just bite the bullet.

I've never found anything that plays like simonis. The rare times I bump into other brands, they feel coarse to the touch and if they play fast (usually not) then the cloth seems too thin, like I could see the slate between the weave.

You bought a 200 dollar shaft, and a 400ish dollar break cue... why cheap out on the cloth? Spend the extra $150 and get something worth playing on.

Several years ago I covered my very old BB&C with Gorino Granito cloth. It is a 17 oz 90-10 blend made in Spain and is used for tournaments throughout the world. It is very smooth and fast and has held up very well. I see Muellers has it for $285 for a 9' table. I will use it again.

That's MORE expensive than Simonis....

Sorry, the cloth I used, Granito Tournament 2000, is $198 for a 9'. I haven't priced the Simonis.

Pro Form is a decent worsted cloth. It is not as good as Simonis but it is a good alternative for those who are on a tighter budget. It's quality is still very high, though, in my opinion.

If you like, PM me and I can send you a link to where I bought it.

Because I need them in a hurry and I´m needing 4 clothes. ;)

I bought the Championship "tour edition" cloth. That's their top of the line cloth. Again not Somonis, but a great deal for the price.

Good cloth but still quite expensive. It's over $230.00 for a 8 ft table, was roughly the same as Simonis until they recently upped their price.

I agree that Championship "tour edition" is great cloth. I cover the tables in the local pool hall here and that is all they use. Although it is not much cheaper than Simonis it is much more durable.

Honestly i would be Patient save a few more bucks and buy the very best which is Simonis 860.

if you sell yourself short and get something different will will never be satisfied because its not what you really wanted in the first place.

Good Luck
