Am I Missing Something Here ????

That is a fair and honest statement about "your" personal prerequisites when shopping for your custom cue, and I can respect that completely !!!

He is not alone in how he chooses his cues. As Turbo said, "negative energy". When a cuemaker builds your cue, you want him to be a pleasant, happy person. You want POSITIVE energy put into your cue. Especially if you are the least bit superstitious about your game. Nobody here is saying they would NEVER buy a cue from you, but for now, your attitude is keeping some of us from considering you as a potential cuemaker for our cues. You are the only one who has the ability to change that, even though it will take a little time and effort on your part.

I do hope your half price sale goes well.

- Eddie Wheat

Now that sounds like a reasonable man who can respect someone else's opinion about how "they" shop for a cue. Eddie Wheat - cuemaker and reasonable man. :)

Can't wait to hit some balls with an Eddie Wheat cue. Hu, part with some of those retirement funds and pick one up so I can test it out for you. :D

hate to disagree, but when I'm buying a cue I'm also looking at the overall experience with the cuemaker. Not just the cue. Before I'll ever buy a cue, the cuemaker has to sell him/herself. It may be someone other than the cuemaker, for instance someone I trust that likes the cue, that actually gets me interested. However, if I find the cuemaker to come across in a unfavorable light I'll pick one of the hundreds of others.

Thats just me, but I suspect I'm not the only one.

I wish I felt that way, it would have saved me a lot of money. Sadly I never met the Predator, or Falcon, or BLUD, or Joss, or RT Custom, or RAT, or Schon, or Jacoby, or etc........ the list goes on and on. I have to go on feel, playabilty, often times word of mouth, and rep and an interest.

In all actuallity, nothing but love and passion goes into my work.... I'm very versatile and maintain a neutral balance with my AZ disposition and I will be negative if it's warranted...

On the other hand, If I was openly accepted from the beginning instead of my posts being critiqued and my knowlege and working experience insulted just for trying to offer "my" advice, help and cuemaking methods to you guys, then we wouldn't be discussing this thread right now...

But again I have no problems with anyone, I tell it like it is... and when you throw a rock at me I WILL return fire, EVERYTIME !

I am a nice guy but I can be mean and nasty as well as any of you can... I treat others as fairly as they treat me !!!

It's a give and take scenario, and all is well !!!!

p.s. I DO toot my own horn, as well as laugh and make jokes at myself... I like to keep an even balance !

Sincerely, Eddie Wheat "wannabe cuemaker"

found a stash of thirty year old wood

Joey,

I found a stash of wood that is at least thirty years old, maybe much older. It has been stored in an attic for thirty years. I'll be cutting my own cue from some of that when I get around to it. I cut a few thousand dollars worth of valve parts today and cues kind of take a back seat to that.

I think you need to buy a Wheat cue, then I can hit with yours! Eddie turned down my order anyway, I don't think he liked my spec's. :D :D :D
