And Of Course You Have The Conformists Like "joeyincali" Who Only Agree With The Mainstream And Wouldn't Dare Make Waves Becasue He's So Friggin' Insecure That It Might Crush His Fragile Ego
Wow! Of course I can be a sociopatic stuck up in his high horse and argues and tries to outsenior bignamed cuemakers whose resume I can't carry, then badmouth the whole industry and his peers and proclaim myself a hero or savior. But, I won't.
I For One Have Always Thought Outside The Box And Are Not Afraid In The Least To Voice My Opinion Or Solicitate Opinions From Others...
Really? You are so narcisistic everytime someone disagrees with you, you blow your top.
So far you have created enemies in Blackheart, RHN and Dave Barrenbrugge.
Dave, whom you threatened to badmouth and get physical.
Eddie, it ain't the world. IT'S YOU.
Grow up.
NO SIR !!!
I do not blow up when someone dissagrees with me, I don't expect anyone to agree with me at all... I am not here to gain allies and form a clique like some of you do ! and just because you ARE a top name in this business doesn't mean YOUR way is the ONLY way !
I came on here to seek knowlege, offer it, and to advertise my recent "gone national" custom fitted cuemaking at a reasonable practical price for players who need more out of a cue than a "production" model can offer, but can't justify spending a 1000.00 + on a custom cue, to just to improve their performance....
There is definitely a market for this approach to the cuemaking industry, and I'm being very realistic about my pricing and are not in anyway trying to attract the highend art collectors... I want "PLAYERS" as customers becasue I WILL build them exactly what the want and need, without breaking the bank !!!
Now, with that said, I can answer your question....
Due to the "new kid on the block" scenario with me I can definitely see as well as everyone else can, that the certain cliques and groups who stick together so tightly and back each other up, do NOT like a new guy coming here making waves or introducing new ideas or concepts or just does things differently then they do, and especially selling their work much more affordably while maintaing great quality to boot !
Well this is where the problem is created Joey, becasue I have to fight, to break into mainstream and pacifists will not get noticed, especially when you have big names coming down on you, because you reveal too much info. or they simply dissagree with your methods... some are easily chased away,as they have done others before me...
You have to be confident and prepared to handle the best and WORST case scenarios and more importantly be able to deliver exactly what you say you can... and that also includes repair work as well, everything I have ever suggested anyone to do or that I do myself works very very well ! and becasue some of the "old dogs" do NOT utilize or approve of my methods doesn't mean they don't work.. and after 18+ yrs of it. I DO HAVE A REAL GOOD CLUE TO WHAT WORKS FOR ME !!!
I simply do NOT like bullies and I cannot be scared off, Yes I offer my 2 cents when I can help someone, and because I DO come off very confident, and sometimes I can be overbearing and taken the wrong way... I have made numerous corrections on my posts for the sensitive easily offended.. but for some of you: you have nothing better to do than to critique my posts and extract one sentence from several paragraphs and then proceed to completely remove it out of context and create controversy....
I am beginning to learn not to take ALL you guys so sereiously, but you have to remember Joey, when your the new employee "me" and you are tenacious and are going out of your way to make an impression on the boss "potential customers" and to show you are serious and are here to stay, and what YOU have to offer is great quality at a reasonable price, that creates alot of tension and uneasiness throughout the workplace "AZ BIlliards" so you must prove yourself as a worthy adversary and stand your ground regardless of the taunts, insults and cold treatment to the new guy "me".
I know the above paragraph was a lousy analogy but I'm sure you get my point... when you jump into an already over-solidified industry with veteran master cuemakers, you better have something else to offer besides a pretty piece of wood, if you expect to be VERY successful in this industry, especially if building and repairing cues is your PROFESSION and the only source of income...
Marketing is everything when it comes to getting yourself noticed on a large scale, If I sat back in the shadows and never spoke up or defended my views, I might as well pack it in as far as selling myself goes... I just want everyone on AZ to know what kind of honest upfront person they are planning to, are or have done business with here online !
We all can make ourselves look good behind a keyboard but when you talk to me via phone or in person I am exactly the same and I deliver exactly what the customer asks for... I am very serious about what I do, and when fellow cuemakers insult my competence or successful methods that warrants a significant reponse !!!
I am here to stay and will be building custom fitted cues for decades to come, and since everyone who has achieved solidifed successful mainstream status as a cuemaker, had to start somewhere, I am no different, just that the somewhere is HERE on AZ Billiards "nationally speaking of course"
And Joey, I like to break balls once in a while too, and I felt I owed you that little plug from the main post on this thread, after all the nice things you say about me.... Love ya !
This explaination is about as good as it gets when trying to convey my intentions and disposition regarding my involvement in this indusrty and AZ forums.. this is NOT meant offensively to anyone !!!
Thanks for reading.....
Sincerely and most heartfelt, Eddie Wheat
