Am I missing something???

I refrained from posting for one week out of respect for Drivermaker. As did other members. I know I wasn't missed and really don't care. This place is becoming tumultuous. It really sucks. I'm not sure I'll continue posting here.

why did blackjack think these forums had outlived their usefulness?

i think i'll go over to RSB for some serious discussion.
 
mike's going to have to add some forums, trim down others,,,,and i think he should get a couple of people to moderate. whose sole job will be to move threads to their appropriate forum.

posts can go off in many directions. that's the great thing about forums. but the threads in themselves that are non-pool should get moved.....even pool jokes, imo.

I plead complete ignorance, stupidity, and newbieness. I saw quite a few posts not pool related and just figured this was the forum to post a joke. I did not mean too offend anyone by the telling of a joke. Reading this thread reminded me of the fact when I first registered I saw a thread marked Non-Pool. It slipped my mind. Forgive me

How serious does everyone feel about this though? I mean is this like chalk upsidedown on the rail or a drunk puking on the pool table during a $500 match? (The drunk story did happen by the way.) I'll understand either way and believe you all are of the forgiving sort...

Thanks SJM. I used to frequent the BD board years ago, then my computer went down for the final count. With my new computer I tested the water by lurking most of the pool related forum sites and found this one to my liking. I dont want to rub people the wrong way. I just want to have intelligent conversations with a few laughs...

Welcome aboard, & you didn't rub people the wrong way. I knew you didn't really know better from the fact that you're new here. I was trying to make a point to others that did know better in a "diplomatic" way by not naming any names. You'll notice there are all kinds of threads on this forum that aren't pool related (I'm just as guilty of this as anyone else) or that start off pool related but end up something totally different. To some that's an annoyance, to me it's not (depending on the topic. There have been some tasteless things said at times). I found the jokes to be an annoyance because I just don't really care for them. It's all a matter of personal preference. ;) In the end, we should all try to keep this forum as pool related as we can...talk pool here, cues in the cue section, ask pro's in the pro section, & jokes, & politics in the non pool forum. No one is mad at you, please don't take my original post as so. Again, welcome to the board. :cool:
