Yeah, I'm with you on that Craig.....the bib overalls, with the Vietnam vet cap, socks-no shoes, wild mustache and the aging metal-head long hair - Dieckman's look rules !

He looks like sanfrancisco`s EX mayer Mr.Brown.He always wears suits made by Brioni. Not many people know about brioni.Brioni is way above georgio Armani.Brioni suits are the ultimate in suites just like Pancaldi neck ties are ultimate for neck ties and stefano Ricci is ultimate for silk shirts.

YUP its Da Mayor Willie Brown. Willie was a shaper dresser, and I know nothing about his suit, but I was told that normally his suit, shirt, tie, and shoes cost over 7 K.

Great posts. I dont want anyone to think im attacking the brand hustlin USA, i actually suppourt them. I referring to how their brand and other brands are ruined by little thug wannabes wearing them and acting like jackasses. I understand not even the majority of their customers are like this.

Dress codes have never helped pool one way or the other. I hate it when people say they love pool, but only on their own terms. Watch espn classic and youll see the old timers in tux's. Pool was no more popular back when theyre wore tuxes then it is now. and alot of good it did the IPT

Forcing people to go out and buy different clothes just for a tournament is another way to scare off begginers. Its hard to attract people as it is and you want them to go out and buy new clothes before theyre good enough to play with you?

And with this kind of "ME ME" attitude things will never change. Sometimes conforming isn't a bad thing. Face it, a lot of people that play pool are ****ing slobs and it's not good for the image of pool.

u do know theyre talking about jerseys too? Im just saying lets leave the snobbery of golf outta pool. at least until the money is the same.

and what if changing the way you dress sharks you? what if these guys who liked to be dressed up where forced to wear baggy pants and shirts?theyd lose and blame it on the change of attire. Now reverse that for peopel who wear baggy "comfortable" clothes.

I can understand the IPT doing it, with their payouts they could do what they want. But a guy who shoots good and still barely makes enough to cover expenses (i.e. smaller tours) should be left to wear what he wants.

IMHO, this isn't an issue of someone's ability to have a decent pair of slacks, a nice shirt and appropriate shoes. This is a cultural issue.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Dressing sharply doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, but there are some people who think it does. They're mistaken.

Brioni suit $5000 + either Pancaldi or Brioni neck tie 350 to 400 $.
Dress shirts by Brioni start at 250 $ and go up to 450 $

My wardrobe is always always the same:

T-Shirt under $5.00 or a Free Bee from an News Event I covered years ago.

Wranglers $15.00 Wal-Mart

Asic Tennis Shoes $40.00 Big Five on Sale

Do not even think I own more than (2) Shirts with a collar any more.

Would love a Panama Hat as they are very cool.

Check out this link for underpriced Panama hats....

I've won 2 of them from "Panama Bob" on eBay, and every time I wear one, unsolicited compliments come my way.

At least on a normal day?

Yup, sure looks like Ike to me! But I am sure that he is just a poser sponsored by Hustlin USA J/K...LOL...

Does anybody reading this thread not know who this player is?

yIKEs, he will RUNNEL over most of us! (Liberty taken with his last name, lol.) Ike always dresses nicely.

I think nice silk T-shirts or turtlenecks (mock T-necks or regular) look great on men or women, but do not fit into the collared shirt category. Neither do most of the tops I wear, which could be sleeveless, tank (see pics below), wrap or V-neck style.

I also think for women, there should be an exception for dress sandals. I get so mad at the league mentality in our tour where it says to wear closed toe shoes, that doesn't even follow the WPBA standards.

I once wore this outfit which is a silk top and capris to a tournament and then wanted to wear hiking boots and tube sox with the stripes around the top, just to make a statement that I am wearing close-toed shoes, because I wear strappy little sandals with it normally, but they were banned from our tour.

I agree with you on those guys 100%. Personally it is the Affliction shirts that crack me up. $40-$80 for a tshirt because some marketing genius said "We will put skulls and flames and sh!t on a $3 tshirt, pay fighters a few bucks to wear 'em and charge $40-$80. The sheep will eat it up because they think it makes them tough too."

Have you ever seen a guy in an Affliction shirt that wasn't too small or the dude didnt have his chest all swelled up? I laugh my ass off everytime I see 'em. But hey...it pays the bills.

Yeah I get you 100% on that and couldn't agree more.

Thats the way I used to feel when the 'No Fear' shirts were really popular, most guys wearing them had good reason to fear.

Again, there is a huge difference between what you wear and how you wear it. Another thing to think about is if everyone has that "F**K it, I'm not gettin' paid" attitude it never will change. I know that if I was in a situation to be able to sponsor a tour I surely wouldn't sponsor a bunch of sloppy people walking around like wannabe gangstas. If we want more money in pool then I think it's important that the poor image that pool has must change and we are the ones to start that change.

Not one person has said that people should have to wear a 3 piece suit and a tie when they join a tournament. Everyone on the "dress nice" side of the argument, from what I can tell, are just saying "Look, if you're going to wear jeans then at least wear ones that fit correctly and the crotch isn't hanging around your knees and no bleach stains or holes. If you're going to wear a t-shirt, hey, can you at least get a shirt in your size instead of 3 sizes too big with offensive slogans on them? Can you take off your hat when you're indoors, that's just common manners, and straighten your hair up?"

The people that are complaining about being comfortable let me ask you this. Is there really that much of a comfort difference between raggy jeans and ones that aren't? Is a polo type shirt uncomfortable compared to a t-shirt?

I've got an Accu-Stats video of one of the Derby City bank matches and one of the players, very well known, was wearing raggy jeans, an old t-shirt and had a flannel shirt over top hanging open. He looked like total white trash. Not only is the Derby City a prestigious event, he was on a table being filmed. Jesus Christ, clean up a little before going into something like that.

I think most of the women on tour dress just fine! Allison springs to mind as one who is a great dresser.

And you look good in that outfit, very cute!:)

I've got an Accu-Stats video of one of the Derby City bank matches with Gary Spaeth vs John Brumback. Brumback was wearing raggy jeans, an old t-shirt and had a flannel shirt over top hanging open. He looked like total white trash. Not only is the Derby City a prestigious event, he was on a table being filmed. Jesus Christ, clean up a little before going into something like that.

Mully, every reply you have posted has been SPOT on to what i am talking about.

I get tired of people saying "WELL IM DRESSING FOR COMFORT!" Grow up and get some nice clothes. I have a nice pair of black dress shoes i wear that i took the insoles out of and got a pair of sport gel insoles in them and they are just as comfortable as anything else, including my new balances. I just dont see how a jacked up shirt with some stupid slogan on it and raggy jeans are comfortable, i would feel dirty and silly.

Theres are many reasons golf is a richer sport than pool, and the way golfers dress and conduct themselves is one of those reasons, i assure you of this.
