Slim's on Georgia street is the place to go. They have 4 9ft tables and a bunch of bar tables. Waitstaff are friendly and locals will BS with you all day long.

I haven't heard anything about it. The only places I've played is Slim's and Fast Eddies because of the 9ft tables.

Edit: Just looked and Shooters (on Hastings) is now called the Mudd Rack. I've heard about it, but never been there.

At The Big Texan the 72oz steak is free if you eat it in an hour. Their web page has a live webcam where you can watch the more adventurous try it.


I'll be driving through Amarillo in two weeks with the family and will eat there. I'd love to stop by Slims but the wife and kids might not want me hanging around shooting pool when they want to get on to Yellowstone. )
