Amazing Bushka on Craigslist

Am i seeing the right price with the right amount of zeros!!!!!

One Hundred THOUSAND dollars??

That cant be right,

At $10,000 it is a decent deal in the condition.

Maybe, he meant $1000.00, NOW THAT S A DEAL!!!!!

BETTER ASK!!

if he brought this cue to the antiques roadshow, and they aired the appraisal: a.) would they come anywhere close to getting it right or even have someone half-knowledgeable? b.) if appraised correctly or on the high side, would it generate any real interest in pool, or at least the equipment?

I knew I recognized this cue.. it came to the SBE show when it was in Edison. He bought the cue when he was 17. A lot of people ooh'ed and aahh'd..

Just but it from his wife at the estate sale for 20 bucks. The guy isnt looking to sell at this price. Too bad its got his name on it. Super nice though.

I am not being funny, but the seller has 100 thousand on the listing
And to be honest I got a feeling the price isn't a misprint .
What is the cue worth ?

First, those who think having the owners name on the cue hurts its value, I garantee, would never be a player on this cue. The name actually HELPS authenticate it and may even make it more desireable

As for value, well all I can say is that if I had an expendable 40k I would offer that in a heartbeat after inspecting the cue personally....

What do they do, take it from him? Then what? It's got his name in it.

Thinking like that is why you are probably not a criminal.

Think about it some more. Criminals steal guns with serial numbers on them. Cars with license plates on them and VIN numbers. You think they care that this cue has a name on it?

I knew a guy that engraved all his tools with his initials. He had a full Snap-On roll-away chest. He thought he was smart, nobody would steel tools with initials on them. His neighbor said the guys backed up to the garage and rolled it right onto a tuck.

Then you'll say it's one of a kind.

OK. One of a kind show cars are stolen. Art? No problem. No item too big or small.

We are talking about something valuable here.

In addition, if he has that, he may have other valuables. Go to his house, force their way in, and have a look around. Criminals have killed for less.

As I said. Not safe.

Never thought I'd say this....but...I agree 100% with you. Lol

Wow. Get up on the wrong side?

Not getting any lately?

I went back and read as carefully as I could and not one single person said the name hurt the value.

How much more are you offering for the name?

Oh...sorry...your not a player on this cue.:grin:

It may be a moot point anyway. I'll bet within 24 hours at least one thief will have driven by to case the guys house. They may or may not make an appointment to see the cue. That name can come right off with a Dremel tool. They can sneak in at night, or just make an appointment to see it and give him a bump on the head for it.

EDIT: Before you call me...you know I am screwing with you, right? Go ride your bike before you get grumpy. I now it's cold. It will do you good.

Funny... Yeah as Bigb said, look at post #2

As for being a player on this cue, I most certainly would have had I not just recently acquired one of the biggest four pointers to come out of Gus's shop...

P.S. ....... I'm blaming you if I freeze my nutz off..LOL :)
