Amazing Bushka on Craigslist

I thought mid twenties on that cue would be top dollar. So what do I know?
The reason is I have seen the same Bushkas that are almost as nice as that one stay for sale at $20,000 one expo after another without selling.

I think it is really incredible.

Name or no-name makes no difference to me, it is awesome and I would love to have it.

Same rings in the butt as mine....I sure hope there are no "tributes" or "copies" made of either of them.

It is only a matter of time.....every cue design gets emulated if the original design had any appeal.

Just like in art and life itself, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery unless the item is trademarked.

That's just how the world turns & if the design is splendid, then even trademark protection is inadequate.

Your cue is a beauty Ken, congratulations.

Having your name on a cue was quite common in the 60's. One of my own favorites now that plays quite well is a Frank Paradise with "Gino" in the clear plastic but sleeve. I owned a cue in the 60's with my name on it but sold it. In this case, considering it is a Bushka and Pete has the records, it only solidifies the real deal. For me that would be preferable. Here is why; in 2004, before I knew about AZ or any pool forums, I paid big money for what was suposed to be a real Bushka based on recomendation of a person I thought was my friend. Both turned out to me phony.

This one also has George's gold bands, which as far as I know, nobody really knows what they were made of. But, very desirable. And amazing that this is on Craigslist. Should be on a Sotheby auction.

As for price, I don't think anyone will bite at $100 grand. Mosconi's Bushka got close to that, but not quite. I also think $10 grand is too low. My bet is that this one would go for the mid 20s up to about 30 in this market. I'd sure like to inspect the cue.

All the best,
WW

Good point. Why else would an idiot try to sell a 100k cue on craigslist. This buyer would more likely be on ebay or etc.

Thinking like that is why you are probably not a criminal.

Think about it some more. Criminals steal guns with serial numbers on them. Cars with license plates on them and VIN numbers. You think they care that this cue has a name on it?

I knew a guy that engraved all his tools with his initials. He had a full Snap-On roll-away chest. He thought he was smart, nobody would steel tools with initials on them. His neighbor said the guys backed up to the garage and rolled it right onto a tuck.

Then you'll say it's one of a kind.

OK. One of a kind show cars are stolen. Art? No problem. No item too big or small.

We are talking about something valuable here.

In addition, if he has that, he may have other valuables. Go to his house, force their way in, and have a look around. Criminals have killed for less.

As I said. Not safe.

.

maybe he has it insured for 100k. the ad may be an invitation.
