Amazon Ball Cleaner - Any Good?

I’m looking at a 16 ball machine for $130
Should I include an extra wool pad and 16 replacement rings for $30?

I've never seen one operate in person but from the videos I've seen, I think it spins the balls much too fast which causes more friction (heat) and friction leads to wear. It's also worth noting the balls only spin on one axis during operation which may or may not lead to areas that do not get cleaned. This may be a moot point given the cleaning pads around the ball openings but again, I've not seen one in person. I do now there is a thread on here discussing the electrical aspect of the unit not being up to US standards but I didn't dive too deep. Not sure if it's a fire hazard, but if it were me, I'd research it prior to using it in my home.

The wiring on these can be suspect. I've read more than one review where switch had to re-wired. Need to check before using. China has no UL to check this shit. They don't give a fk if your crib burns down.

I would get the replacement stuff. Your future self will probably be thankful to have them. These feel well built and something that should last for a long time, when the originals wear out it would be nice to have replacements on hand.

Half way through the cycle the motor changes direction and spins them in reverse. In action they do seem to spin on multiple axis, especially when the motor stops and reverses. They are probably 10X better than a bucket polisher, whereas say a diamond one is maybe 12-14X better. For the price they are very nice little units. I think a diamond polisher is better, but they also cost 5X as much.

Now y'all got me really looking at one of these.

Anyone know if the Lifestyle Basics ball cleaning solution that pops up alongside it is any good? It's significantly cheaper than the Aramith stuff.
Looks like it contains silicone. It's not a good idea to use silicone on balls but it's unclear from the product SDS sheet how much it contains. I couldn't find anything on the Aramith Ball Cleaner SDS pointing to silicone being used.

Good feedback. Thanks!

Wow, it's $133 now with the coupon clipping. Free shipping (from Amazon, not the manufacturer), free returns.

I thought I paid 200, but just checked my order which was in December. I paid 139.

Here is the link to the one I bought in Dec. It's also 131 now with coupon. It's a different name, but looks the same.

These machines work well. Especially for new balls. Using these machines with new balls will keep you new balls looking new.

They do a good, not great, job of getting older, more worn balls to look nice.

To make sure the whole ball gets cleaned, I move them around after the first cleaning and do a second. I thus clean the balls twice once a week.

I doubt the friction from the cleaning is wearing the balls down. The insets are fairly soft. Time will tell.

I bought one too. 135 and free shipping was too good to pass up. Used it today and no complaints.

Haven't been playing much. Maybe some clean balls will do the trick. Finally got my pool room cleaned up and I can get to the table. Argh.
