Amboyna on Cocobolo

Amboyna are the Best

Chris you Lucky Dog:grin:, damn what a nice Cue you get:thud::banghead::help:
Tony, no panik here, I know you are slow but perfect:thumbup2::yeah::love::love2:
Ralf:wink:

I think Tony has the best veneer color combos in the business. Seriously.

The Buyer picked this combo out. He designed the entire cue. All I did was throw everything together.

Took new pics this morning in better light and replaced what I posted last night.

Fact is...
The inlay design in the amboyna points & butt is based on a design in a previous Zinzola, I just chose materials to my liking & Tony suggested making the diamonds 3 part. I'm also thankful that Tony was willing to do his new sig ring design in my ivory Hoppe ring. When I suggested it he jumped right on the idea. This was another first & he did a perfect, spot on, job of it. Check earlier in the thread to get a real appreciation for the work involved with all these inlays - and no filler, by the way! This kind of inlay work into a light wood, and especially into ivory, is the signature of a real artist coming into his own. I did pick the woods, veneer combo, materials, the rings above & below the wrap were one of the first design elements chosen, and the look of an ivory Hoppe ring with silver bordering it I fell in love with some time ago.
I'm sure we all know you don't get this kind of result by accident, and Tony has the kind of penchant for perfection that ensures nothing is ever just "thrown together". The trick is keeping himself from cutting it up because it's not good enough for him!! Hard to fade that kind of dedication to quality.

Hey, Ralf. No, not yet. He's got some final touches to do on the finishing/polishing, then the wrap to install. He'll be back from a holiday trip with the family on Wednesday & will be buttoning it up then. The SS piloted is what's on most all my playing cues so it should be no change for me, though the purple heart Titlist that LP Customs if finishing up for me will have a solid ivory piloted on it. Thought I'd give it a try.
Can't wait!

i like the wrap on both sides of the ring. you are doing some good work, I would like to see how they play one day when you get a chance call me

All right. Got back from vacation last week. Haven't touched a cue since just before Christmas. Tomorrow I'm back to work (had the kids today).

This one's finally ready to go.

Holy crap that butt section is awesome. I love the triple inlayed spears. That is a sweet looking stick. Great attention to detail. Kudos.

Wow, that has turned out really wonderfully, Tony! Can't wait to get it in my hands.
I don't see a full cue pic. Hope you got the pics you need for posting on your site.
The wrap even has a sheen like it's pressed real fine - the way I like it.
The finish makes all the colors & sparkles jump right out. The coco looks so much nicer under finish, too.
Thanks for your excellent work!
