American Hustler Pool Clothing Review A++

In the past, pool-related clothing apparel hasn't really been known for comfort or style. We've seen super-sweat inducing suit jackets, or the ruffled shirt carnation-lapeled 70's tuxedo grace the sport at the highest levels. Comfort wasn't always the first priority.

Then the pool t-shirt started to grace the pool halls of the world. After looking around the latest super billiard expo, one could walk past a seemingly endless smorgasbord of run-of-the-mill billiard t-shirt designs. Multiple variations of the flaming 8-ball on really thick black t-shirts aren't really screaming style or comfort. And for $30 bucks - is it really too much to expect style and comfort from a t-shirt?

Until now – American Hustler is changing the pool apparel industry by finally bringing the forever missing comfort and style back into the sport.

Comfort:

I bought two American Hustler shirts and they instantly became my favorite t-shirts to wear. Think of that comfortable go-to shirt you would throw on to relax and shoot a few games. Is it pool related? Probably not. In my experience, pool related clothing was more like that Ramones final tour t-shirt I love and had for decades– way overpriced, and usually comfortable after washing it over and over again to finally break it in. And soon, it becomes so thin it’s unwearable unless you are out mowing the lawn.

American Hustler shirts are the kind of comfort you will find at high end casual clothing stores. This is very rare to find this type of quality in the billiard universe. We are very fortunate.

Style:

The designs and slogans found on American Hustler t-shirts are pretty cool. Slogans such as “Strength comes from within”, “Respect the Game”, and of course “Beast Mode” are catchy and a reminder that you are involved in a sport. Marketing and sports have always shared a close relationship, and if our sport is going to advance into the future, billiard related companies need to create that official sports culture. Something as simple as a t-shirt displaying the term “beast mode” can invite conversation outside of the pool hall, and bring awareness and interest. American Hustler gets that.

Along with the catchy slogans is a visual pallet of crests and symbols, lions and eagles, skulls and cue sticks coupled with an array of different colors. Gone are the days of the super large 9-ball surround by flames – now you are wearing an official shield branding you a serious player of the game.

In the spirit of the Euro soccer club teams, we now have a style to the game of pocket billiards, and we can wear it with pride. American Hustler has my vote.

Just take a look at the web-site and you will see the difference:

Also, I’m aware there will be an American Hustler booth set up at the APA Nationals in Las Vegas August 13-22, 2015. Stop by and you will notice the difference right away.

I too, am very satisfied with the quality, comfort, and style of the American Hustler shirt that I recently purchased.

However, I would like to add that I feel the XL size runs a bit small, and would definitely buy a XXL next time. Maybe they are designed to be a little tighter with shorter sleeves, but if you like a little looser fit, you will likely want to go up one size, from my experience.

Bumpnrun, we are glad you like the quality, comfort and style of the tee's, they are designed to be a little tighter fitting. The slub tee runs a little bigger than the normal tee.

American Huslter clothing will be booth #45 at the APA nationals, come check us out.

I'm sure they make good clothing but the "Hustling" logo is a little presumptuous for me to advertise on my clothing so it's not for me. I prefer the type of look and representation of "Play the Game" clothing, jmho.

Philly we try and appeal to all audiences by making the respect the game range. See attached. The Hustler is part of the actual brand name, but i hear what you are saying and we are working on shirts without any hustler on them.

The quality of the clothing is the highest you can get, no disrespect to the other companies, but they are not the same in quality. But we all like to have a choice, as not everyone has the same taste.

Appreciate the response. I'll check the site from time to time.

I have seen the designs and like them better then 99% of the pool gear out there, these actually are something you can wear outside of a poolroom.
