I lived there for a couple years 25 years ago. I played mostly snooker at a local snooker club, with my Joss. There were some local pubs with tiny coin op pool tables. Honestly the proportions of everything was so screwed up, it was challenging to adjust.
I will be curious to know if the pool scene there has changed much.

Did you ever play Bagatelle or Bar Billiards?
I don't think so.
This was my favorite room in all of Britain….felt like I was playing in North American.
Doesn't look like we're gonna get played!
It was an action room in the 80s and 90s…..the manager always found me a game.

Off the top of my head:
London Snooker (Tooting)
Spots & Stripes (Redhill)
Raging Ball (St Albans, Greenford and High Wycombe).
Spots and Stripes plays host to two GB9 tour stops a year. Slightly outside of London but good set-up.
London Snooker hosts "London's Finest" pool events.
Raging Ball actually advertised on Google as a bingo room. However, High Wycombe and St Albans clubs were both very nice clubs to play in, pre-covid.
I used to co-run events from a Rileys club in Solihull (100 miles north of London). They offer discount rates to students, who abuse the tables. Then they charge top whack to serious players who bring their own cues, balls, chalk and racks.

It's a big thing is certain areas. Bagatelle was a game for the French aristocracy. When great palaces had a snooker table they would make a matching bagatelle table for the ladies to play on, at least that's what I've been told.
I own a very rare 12 foot bagatelle table and a few old Bar Billiard tables. It's a long story how they ended up in Houston but I bought them from the son of a table mechanic that passed away. One of these days I will restore them.
This about right, there was a rileys, in shepherds bush and one in wealdstone both closed long ago.
Yup, that's in King's Cross. There's also a Riley's on Semley Place very near the Victoria Coach Station.
