An Unfortunate Incident Involving J&D (Jim Lee) Cues

I also would like to bump this as I promised Jim I would. I told him not long after this thread started that if he could prove my cue was coming along I would apologize and say I was wrong, and I was wrong. Slowly but surely things ARE coming along. Proof is below..

While the concerns from me and others here, it was somewhat warranted as communication was gone for a while, but things have gotten much better. I have updated pics that shows progress and it's not far from being done. I have heard others ahead of me are being completed as well and I was told who, even though I never asked and that proved to be true as Slim was one of those names he gave me and we see by his pics that it came as well.

So I am a man of my word in this regard, SORRY JIM LEE FOR DOUBTING THAT YOU HAVE NOT TOUCHED MY CUE. Sorry for the mess.

Here is my cue. Tulipwood butt sleeve and points, Titlist veneers, Curly Maple forearm. Going with a white joint that wont be Ivory, but not sure what we'll eventually go with. I let Jim have reign there. Will just have solid black rings, will get a black leather wrap.

Looks good man. Post pictures when he finishes it. When you get it you can break it in on me,LOL.:D

Sounds great to me.

Bad news though, I'm moving North back to Talladega in February. But I'll be able to spend alittle more money to play and ride back down:)

That's cool, Noble Street Billiards is in Anniston. Decent pool room with great tables. Let me know when you get settled and we can hook up.
 
It's good to see the progress. My friend is still waiting for his refund, but will be waiting patiently per Jim's request. Keep us posted on any more updates. Thanks

Been up there a few times, enjoy it actually. Very quiet up there too and the prices are not bad. I'll let ya know!:cool:

Great news for both of you.

However, it appears he still hasn't gotten to me. He emailed me on Dec 5, saying he would ship my cue. I was excited... but this has been the second time he said he would ship my cue.

I haven't heard from him since.
