Here are a few pics of Andy and Vicki's 20th anniversary set (1989-2009) that was unveiled at the SBE last month. This is one fantastic set of cues with all the work that you would expect to see in a Gilbert, including his incredible point/veneer work....and of course done in highly figured pupleheart (his favorite wood).
Consists of the following....fancy ivory jointed 4-point playing cue with ivory, silver and engraving work, leather wrap, & 2 shafts; matching fully veneered jump-break with phenolic joint, linen wrap, & 1 shaft; and a beautiful black lizard embossed leather case by Ron Thomas with inlay work and engraving on the top.
My pictures are not so good....but these cues are beautiful in person. These are 8 veneer cues featuring white and black paper (accent) veneers as well as traditional salmon and black veneers !!
Kind of surprised that no one has posted any of these since the SBE, so I wanted to share some pics with the AZers. All 20 anniversary sets were pre-sold to collectors before the show.
**May decide to make this one available in the near future. If anyone has an interest, please let me know.
