Nice cue, Sean! I was going to guess it was a Guffey, but then changed my mind when I saw the pin and joint. I had a Guffey cue with the exact same ring pack, but with a forearm by Burt Spain. I played the "Guess the Maker" game here on this forum a few years ago and Joel Hercek even got on the thread and answered the question! No, not really anything that was intended. Matt and I have a fully tooled cue shop and we've been dabbling with cues for about 10 years. Everything on this one was done entirely in-house, except the veneered ring pack in the butt that was salvaged off an old Guffey cue (and I think this ring billet originally came from Burton Spain, back when he was selling blanks and supplies).
You know we've been ordering and designing cues for Andy to build for us for a longer time than that even, so maybe there are some 'subliminal' similarities that came through in this cue.
And yes, he has offered us a lot of helpful advice over the years.
I'll see if I can dig up some other pics of examples of our cues and will post them.

Hope you get it finished one of these days! You've also got some great looking cues in the group pics...
