Another new 4pt Varney...curly, boco & bem

Varney Cues

Handcrafted quality!

Here is a cue I just finished for a local player. He designed the cue as to the way he wanted it to look. Curly forearm, boco points, bem handle (Micarta dashed ringwork borders), boco buttsleeve, satin finish, brass Radial, curly 4.5oz shaft. Elforyn joint, buttcap, & ferrule with Moori tip. I think it came out pretty nice...and hits right sporty. He was extremely happy when he picked it up today. :)

WOW......!Nice combination on wood choice Mr. Varney.. Do you have a long waitting list:confused:.

You think that combo looks nice wait until you see the one I'm finishing now with the curly Anigre handle....its a special piece of wood my friend Kenny sent me. The list isn't quite SW/Searing long just yet...but some people keep getting their cues stolen, then they reorder making the list even longer.:p ;) :D

what type of finish do you use? is it a friction polish?

Friction polish is not a finish and I wouldn't recommend using it as it wouldn't last long. It does slick up a shaft nicely though.;)
I use either an early SW style satin which is very popular or an automotive clear.

Beautiful.

Seb9,

I saw in another thread that you were looking for cue makers (the elephant ivory thread).

If you are looking for a reputable cue maker that does excellent work, look no further than Mr. Varney. Do a search in the forum and you will see pics of his cues ... they are quite nice (an understatement).

There are many other cuemakers on this forum too... best place to ask is in the "Ask the cuemaker" section.

Good luck to you.
Craig
