Another question for the English gurus.

So, double o, I tried, really tried to be nice and put forth my argument in an honest logical way. To bad your anger and runaway ego prevents you from responding in kind.
You weren't nice at all (you've been sarcastic, smarmy and snotty), nor were you logical. If you were nice, you would have apologized:
  1. You can't play pool and your opinion, therefore, on my teaching or playing is irrelevant
  2. You asked for a clinic teaching sample but have nothing to say about 500 words on the tip gap that I posted from your specific request
  3. You're not going to apologize for trash talking Tom Kennedy, and his pool teaching, likely affecting his income and family

As a gambler, I gotta say that is horrendous handicapping and anyone who likes money would bet the over with everything they got. The under simply can't win cuz he'd never post a 7-1 loss. Freeroll me on the over for a house lol.

'capping may not be for you :p

Heaven forbid, are you implying double o, upholder of Christian principles and values would stoop to cheating.

Never thought of that. I suppose he could be really tricky and dress his good friend Tony Robles in a double o costume and have him do the video.

Oops, I'm sure I'll now get another admonishment about being rude and disrespectful to his pro friends.
Thanks a lot Wobbly.

Wow, you're up early today. It would be nice however, if you'd get some new material instead of the same thing over and over.

It's getting extremely boring and you're likely to lose your audience.

Projecting what you're doing to me, of course.

But yes, it's worth asking for your apology more than once. Is it going to be made or no?

You are on even more shaky ground here. I'm a born again Christian. You are being rude and disrespectful now to me.

Are you an atheist (or just mind-numbingly rude)?

PS. You just reproved me for mentioning Tony Robles again (not that Fran answers the query) and then brought him up yourself yet again, that smells like troll to me.

So you routinely accuse me of what you do--lying, ducking direct, simple questions, not apologizing for being rude and lying--back under the bridge with ye!

Once again I will address your suppositions in a clear, logical manner.

What's irrelevant is your contention that I can't play pool. It has no bearing on whether or not I'm allowed to have an opinion on your playing and/or teaching.

Go back and check, I never requested you post a sample nor did I have any comment on it.
If I had commented I probably would have said it's hardly a pro technique. It's Pool 101 when teaching fundamentals to beginners.

I'm not about to apologize for something I didn't do.
If I recall correctly I mentioned TK 3 times
Once was saying I've seen his ball juggling and it's amazing.

I also said he was a good mid level pro who got on a roll and had a good year once.

Then I said I hoped his wife had a good job because if they had to survive on his pool earnings they'd be starving.
This was in response to your claim he's supported his family solely on pool earnings the last 30 years.
His pool earnings in that period were approximately 200k, before expenses. 7k per year. Not many people can live on that.

All 3 of those things are observations not insults.

Heaven forbid, are you implying double o, upholder of Christian principles and values would stoop to cheating.
not cheating imo. i imagine just about all the ghost challenge vids posted were not first takes.

matt says he is 600ish fargo. thats a dog vs the ghost but he will win his fair share. if he overestimated by 50 points he could still easily produce a vid of a win vs the ghost in one day of shooting. if he off by a whopping 100 points he can still win once in a while. it would just take longer.

fwiw i think he can get a win vs the ghost on day 1 on shot makng alone. but i fully expect he can play much more seriously (and better) than that vid of him funning around at warp speed playing an absurdly easy game.

since i fully expect he will post a win vs the ghost, i think the better over/under is when that happens. i'd be okay with an over under line of 3 weeks. house should get action on both sides with that. i take the under. tbh i think beating the ghost is easier than producing a perfect L drill vid....and it would have to be PERFECT given his nitpuck of mr3cushion's slight position ertor on one ball.

You're continuing to spin lies.

What you wrote was (paraphrased) "Matt's a fraud teacher and so you're paying hundreds of dollars to watch TK, who had a good year decades ago, juggle pool balls."

If this is you being "observational" and "nice" you have major issues. And you STILL owe Tommy an apology. Now about three apologies. Your drivel kept him--not me--from earning money.

I'd ask you again to have a friend video your pool prowess with their phone--but I was assuming you have friends.

I apologized to Mr3Cushion on that same thread, I watched his video for a few seconds and saw him roll very long on one ball, then went back and saw he miscued/missed scoring the object ball. I didn't know who he was.

I'm curious what you think about this thread: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/the-fargo-high-run.490971

I don't have a Fargo rating but would be curious to calculate it, it seems it's based on whether you can runout 50% of the time in rotation games in that thread...

This has become incredibly tiresome.
Your level of animosity and ignorance has reached new heights.

There must be someplace close by that offers continuing education. Look for a course titled "How to understand plain English"

Once successfully completed come back and possibly you'll have the skills to engage in an intelligent conversation.

Thanks. Although because him-who-shall-not-be-named asked SO nicely, I'm thinking of posting more speed pool instead.

Ha!

Become tiresome? Not that I'll look now, but your OP was based on me allegedly skipping one word in an article on a website where I wrote 100,000 words on pool, billiards and snooker.

Are you going to 1) apologize to Tom Kennedy and 2) understand the course would be "Understanding English" not "plain English" and the course title would NOT be written in English?

It's tiring to deal with your projection, your poor writing and your obstinance.

D'oh!

I'm tired
Sick and tired of love
I've had my fill of love
From below and above
Tired, tired of being admired
Tired of love uninspired
Let's face it, I'm tired! -- Blazing Saddles

Sparkle,

Let me help you to troll others, here's what you should have posted instead:

"This thread is still tiresome. Your level of animosity, your ignorance, has reached new lows.

There must be someone who can offer you a course in understanding plain truth. If you manage to complete it, return and answer me with more apparent intelligence."

THIS is why I'm tired!

He posted the video on post #51. There was no mention of it being "speed pool".
Maybe you thought it was but I didn't.

After a lot bullshit from him about his awesome play I posted my review in post 106.

We then waited till post 130 when speed pool was mentioned.
My question is why not declare that up front. Most people would have.

Your right about it being an absurdly easy game and it was also an easy table with big pockets. JMO

It's not fast enough for a speed pool match. You are correct and it's obvious. His speed pool so-called explanation came after your assessment. This is typical and consistent behavior of his where he continually 'updates' his position based on his criticizers' comments in attempts to try to neutralize their criticisms.

Well said, we'll know more with the 10B ghost video, if it appears.

I think that the video speaks for itself, like u mentioned in ur review. I just give him the benefit of the doubt that he isn't playing his serious game in it.

Yes the position and pattetns were sloppy at best but it is fun to sometimes just fire them in and let the stroke out a bit when u know u will have some shot on some ball. His shot making was good and that alone probably gets him a win vs the ghost once in a while. With some time put into thinking through pattetns I have no doubt his real olay is much better.

Perhaps hejust had a fun run of a few racks that included some impressive shots in it and posted it. The most impressive runs are always an adventure with big stroke shots...usually recovering from wayward position. The best ones are just a boring series of easy shots.

over under on the ghost vid going up is still 3 weeks :p who's got what? Im on the under.

He'll never post a ghost race video. He'll maybe post 1 random rack out of 100 where he ran out.
