Original two piece with ivory joint. Straight and in very good shape for being close to 100 years old. This cue plays great. These rarely surface and those that do are usually poor condition or have been reconditioned. From the research I have done this cue should be insured for a minimum of $1500 in this condition. As much as $2500. If some of my other cues for sale do not go first, I will sell it for $1200.

Very Very nice cue from the 1930's, and if it is perfectly straight that is certainly a plus, especially with the spliced Rosewood Shaft.

Thanks for sharing

Merry Widow Age

Thanks Craig. Was not sure of the age, but it came with a 1923 BBC Regina
carom table I bought a few years ago. I assumed it was comparable in age. I thought the sticker color indicated the 20s? The sticker is worn, but I would rather keep the original one than buy a new reproduction label.
I have two one piece cues that also came with the table. They both have the ebony shaft.

Last Chance, then Back to the Safe

Still looking at trades or a cash offer. Brunswick cues will hold their value.
Most of the veneered BBC's seem to be vanishing for conversions.

merry widows

yours is a Merry Widow. Funny thing about the name is that there are a lot of guys who think they have one because they have a cue with a spliced shaft, when it is really the lack of points that makes it a Merry Widow.... many other BBC models had spliced shafts, so I don't know why these people throw logic out the window..... a 360 is not a Merry Widow but it does have a spliced shaft.

Merry Widow Info

You are correct about the cue. I always thought that it was not just the lack of points, but that the forearm, wrap, and butt portion of the cue was one piece of material, in this case Rosewood. I have other wrapped cues with no points and all have a handle under the wrap of a different wood. If it is in fact one piece it has stayed very straight for many years.
