That a nice rod case...If you do re-fit that for cues I would not remove the origional divider...Older rod cases like that are hard to come by....Neat case and a nice find.

do you want to sell it as is?i like it,it is really nice,is it long enough to hold a cue?

Thats a very similar pattern to the AE case from The Hustler, I wonder if they were made by a parent company.

Be careful when putting your fly rods in there. If you drop the case from 6 ft up they might get damaged. There is a company in China that can make you a replacement interior to keep your flys up... :grin-square:

Funny you should mention that. I happen to have a case very similar to this one for renovation and reproduction in my shop. It was given to me by a famous collector. It's highly likely that both cases were made by the same company. The case I have is the same model that was used in the Hustler according to the man who gave it to me.

And you're right, I can make a replacement interior that would be well padded and protect the contents more than the original interior.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments...have not decided what I will do with it yet, still trying to find some more info on it...it is perfectly suited to convert. It is 31" x 5.5" x 5.5"

Wow, that looks quite nice, I wonder how many cues you can store in it once retrofitted.

So I take it your going to reproduce the "hustler case" ?

Please keep us informed :grin-square:

Flyrod Case

Here's one that needs a little TLC, but it's solid as a rock. I think you could make a 4x6 with it.
