Just looking for some serious pool nuts like myself. I am currently friends with the type of people that don't have my passion for the sport, the equiptment, and the beauty of the game and all it's diversity. I have been finding that the east coast is big pool area but here in WI it's far and between for guys like myself. Now don't get me wrong I know they're out there but I just can't dedicate the time for this hobby like I really want to.

Just curious that's all

I am from beloit WI about a hour from milwaukee. Pm I give ya my cell phone number come on down to beloit some time and all the good players like LARRY NEVEL will woop up on ya....:) :)

Bigpocket...TJ is just looking for someone to shoot with, who likes to play as much as he does. He's not making any statements about kicking anybody's ass, so you need not make your comments about sicking Nevel on him. Geez...

Oh I know of Nevels skill and that he lives in Beloit. I would give my right arm to have the opportunity to play pool with him, provided he knows I am just there for the show....lol.

Thanks Scott, I didn't take offense, but maybe I didn't read between the lines.

YO MAN!!
If your in Milwaukee, then go to ROMINES HIGH POCKETS!!!!!!!
It is or was when I lived in WI full of players. And it is one huge pool hall.
Take a look into DEAN's pool tour. WWW.drpool.net (these are really fun and usually three days at a casino and the pay outs always covered my trip)
I got to play in a lot of tournaments when I lived in WI. I played on the ChalkTalk tour, umm.. BCA had a tournament ever month at Romines, sharks club, the green Room, the magnet, etc... There are some strong ass players there like Craig Powers, Randy Lamar, Willie Munson, John Fields, etc...

I am aware of Romines, I shoot league there(Tuesdays). I am by no means a "poolhall junkie", but their is a always a regular group that either I never get the opportunity to, or just don't know how to approach it, to hang with some nuts like myself. I would however like to start playing in tournies but I just don't get around to them for various reasons. Just thought I'd jump start things with anyone that posts here to break the ice...!:D

Have you been in Milwaukee long?
I lived in Green Bay and made the trip to Romines a couple of times a year. What a nice and huge pool hall. Do you stop by his pro shop ever? I meant to get a Tshirt from there before I moved but I forgot. Do you know if he sells them?
Please go to www.drpool.net and check it out. Dean puts on tournaments all over WI, but most are up north. I had some of the best times ever there. It is almost like a Vegas atmosphere, (MINUS the women). But if you go, make sure you get a room, because I learned the hard way that spending 14 hours in a pool room will wear you down. So when you have to play late and the other guys have been relaxing in their beds or swimming or fresh from a shower, they will be a lot better off mentally to play.

i got to spend some time in your fair city.
actually i got into a fight there.i lost by decision.

Just walk up and say "who givin' up the 7"? That should break the ice real well.:D Truthfully...just move to Charlotte...as much as you spend, maybe having you closer I could actually afford that airplane I have my eye on...LOL!!!;)

We live just over the border in IL. Milwaukee is only about 40 min away. We play APA in Kenosha and many of our friends play KPBL. Every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday is league at Briese's on the border of Racine. KPBL should be starting up again real soon. From what I have been told, it is one of the largest money leagues in WI. Playing in it also makes you eligible for WAMO. There is also league at Boomers on Highway 11.

Romines Friday tounaments?

I am a former Milwaukee resident too. Don't get the chance to visit much anymore. Way back when Romine's original room was on Wisconsin Avenue, downtown all you had to do was hang out for a while and somebody would ask if you want to play. Been to the big room on the south side a few times when I was in town. It just didn't seem the same, different vibe, lots of teenagers just banging balls. Tables were still in great shape though. Try getting in one of their leagues, it seemed like they hade quite a few going last time I was there. Good luck finding a game!
