Andy G is putting the finishing touches on a full splice Gilbert for me,will post when he sends it to me.
Very nice Stroud Jamie.

Thanks, Jamie....really hate it that I couldn't make it over. That's a sweet 4-axis Stroud cue.

DCC has always been one of those shows where some neat old stuff pops up. Let's see what other jewels came out of the woodwork !!

Hey Sean,
Sorry you couldn't make the Derby this year. I had a good time talking cues and drinking Beers with Matt. Anyway here's one John Davis
made me for the Derby. A big THANK YOU goes out to him.

Wow Bill Stroud is really bringing it with that cue. That is by far the best floating point cue I have ever seen.

I can't wait to see how my John Davis blank looks when it is done. I try not to think about it, but I end up doing it or someone I know reminds me about it ;)

i still dont have it in my hands yet but its on the road now and will be home soon....

the photos are not mine (dont have the cue in my hands yet) mike takes such good photos i dont think i will be able to top them anyway...

How long have you been waiting and can you describe what the wood combination is going to be?

your pictures suck
that cue is soooooooo much nicer in person
had a great time hangin' again hangin' out with you & jim & john
speaking of pics, wish we would have got a few of us guys together
it's best part of the derby experience for me

Very cool stuff indeed. I've always loved that Showman 'gambler'. Branko, that's a really wild Davis cue.....hate I missed hanging with you guys, maybe next time. Brent, great suggestion. Everyone can feel free to sprinkle some personal pics in here.....good stuff.

i usually do get pics,
this time i must have been running my chops too much,
but i got an interesting story
i asked john davis, why are they called "blanks" ?
he chuckled, you can see him doing that,
and then got a BLANK look on his face,
and said, " i have no idea, never thought about it before"
now i know why his are called BLANKS:grin:

You're right Brent but I can't figure out how to set up the camera to take
good pictures. The camera is smarter than me I guess. Talking to friends
and sharing stories is the reason I enjoy going to the Derby. If you're going
to Valley Forge this year we'll all have to get together then. I know there were
a lot of cues passed around at the Derby so come on let's see them!
PS sorry about the little side track Sean.

same here, it's easier for me to build a cue than take GOOD pictures!!
i just hope jamie w dont let out my big secret he found out about me:eek:
jamie asked me if i started on his cue yet
i gave him a big "hell no"
then later on when he heard me say, that when i cant sleep or im bored i look at the members list on here, just checking out all the funny avatars
he said, " no effn wonder my cue isnt being worked on!!" :rotflmao:
to jamie, please dont tell anyone , ok buddy
