Any idea what Earl's playing with now...?

I know where Earl's cue came from (for a fact)

The cue Earl Strickland is playing with came from a buddy of mine. There are approx 8-10 world champs playing with cues from the same guy. They do not have business cards nor a phone number and want it to stay that way. That is why you guys can't figure it out.

JoeyA and I talked about this and we both put 2 and 2 together.

I have since confirmed this.

I will not, nor will JoeyA I'd bet, be willing to tell you who this person is. He/she is the type of person that prefers to remain nameless and so it shall be. Else I wouldn't have this kind of info and we wouldn't be friends.

Please don't ask me, I will never even think about spilling the beans on this. I have a good friendship and it's just not worth it.

I will tell you this, it is custom (I saw the sketches used to guide the building process). It is pricey. These guys have cues totally unlike what you see out there. I may have said to much already but it's true.

That's why my Dad took me to the "Boobie Bungalow" and not either of my two brothers. I wouldn't have said that either but my parents divorced after I graduated from college so what's the harm now. (Not b/c of boobie bungalow).

A few weeks ago, Earl was playing with a Gulyassy. I would be surprised if he had changed again so soon. As has already been stated, Mike was touting the lesson packages Earl was offering out of his {Mike's} shop in Greenville, SC just a short while ago.
 
Jam, Rock On! You have the true memory of what pool was about "Back in the day" and what is missing from the scene today! Did you see that picture of Earl and Keith that was posted a few weeks ago? They were both laughing and smiling together, Like they were reminising! Great Photo from a tourney...I think up in Maine or somewhere. Please tell Keith he is truly a legend in my opinion and he his photos embrace the walls of my home pool room!

I was at a tourney in Raleigh,N.C. in the early 90's and EArl would just ask someone if he could play with their cue for the tourney.
I guess what i am trying to say is that he can play with any cue doesn't matter the brand. Isn't it obvious hell the guy beat any and everyone with a stinkin Cuetec! LOL!!
So to all you cuemakers bragging on your secret formula cues....keep on dreamin=)
