If there is anybody that can give me the dates for the smokey mountian shootout; that would be greatly appreciated..:smile:

A guy called me a couple of days ago from Spartanburg and said he already had his flyer. I don't think we have to worry about it filling up quite so quickly this year. The guy said Gary went up to $150 on the entry fee. That may be a little steep for me.

If that is the case, he was doubled the entry fee since 2 years ago. I will not be paying 150 to play, although I may still go and hang out. That is a little out of reach for a lot of the players that typically make up the field there. I hope he has a bandage because he may have just shot himself in the foot.Mike Templeton said:
I agree with Stick8. The bleachers are the pits. I participated once and it took my a-s days to recover. It too loud in there too, hard to concentrate. I`ll pass as usual.

Yes the entry is $150 this year but I'm not sure that it will be that every year. This is the 20th annual event and he wanted to do something a little special to generate a $10,000 guaranteed prize fund. I think it will still fill up, as he usually has many on the waiting list every year. Last year it filled up in the 1st two weeks.

As bad as the economy currently is...buck & a half is going to be steep for many of the regulars. Great event though.
