Not sure what I'm doing, but I was checking to see if there is any trade interest for my Runde Schon R-11 with a nice used Fellini case. Old shaft is 13.3 at ferrule, new shaft is 12.5 at ferrule ( maybe played a rack). Both 4.2 oz. Butt is 15.5 on my scale. Black and natural veneers into a straight grain forearm. There are a few dings in the finish, not bad for a 25 year old player. A refinish would make this cue look new, as does any refinish. I call it the poor mans Szamboti.

Definite interest

Price and possibly what are you looking for in trade? There is always interest in these old Schon's.
 
I have no idea really what I'm looking for, something that tickles my fancy. I would put the combo in the $1500 range on good day. All PM's replied too. I do like cues that are a little thicker in the butt.

Saturday bump. I might be interested in cash and a cue on trade. I would consider letting the schon go by itself for a cash/cue combo as well.

Maybe something 59", stiff hitting and with a big pin.

The Original R-11 .....

I was looking at my Schon file and glanced at the original SL & R Series brochure. The R-11 has red & black veneers and so I was curious if you ordered this cue with the natural veneers? It definitely has the R-11 design & features Terry R. & Bob R. were producing in the early years of Schon.
 
This is a Runde schon R-11. I got the cue through a trade with Koinkid, so I didn't order it new. As far as the flyers and veneer colors go, there is no correlation. If the cues matched the catalog perfectly, then most people would have 1 of 1's due to color combos. It has the nickel ring upgrade versus the stitch ring. Having had a stitch ring schon, it can be pain to find good original matching shafts. I was quite happy to pick up a a nickel ring Runde schon as the shafts are sooooooo much easier to find, and generally a little cheaper too. Per Bob Runde, 82-87 are the roughly the sharp point era(what most like to call Runde era Schons). This cue is amazingly balanced and has a great tap tone, high on the shaft and mid on the butt. Im not really too interested in seeing her go, but Im thinking $500 bucks and another cue would be nice to see also. Since this cues is quite similar to my Runde, I won't be hurt too much if/when she does go.

i have received a few offers that i am still milling over, but i thought i would try one more bump. i might just get it rewrapped in cortland and call it good.

what i am leaning towards is a big pin, phenolic or ivory joint, none or minimal inlays. pretty much the opposite of my other cues. i really like cocobolo. 59" would be a big plus. i do like fatter handle cues. the schon is 1.05 and 1.24. my runde is 1.03 and 1.26 and my unknown titlist is 1.03 and 1.28. IIRC. a naturally balanced cue is ideal. weight doesn't matter as long as it is balanced. 12.5 and up on the shafts too.
 
Not really my cup of tea there Bill. I'm pretty picky about overall looks and the butt sleeve is generally a point of contention for me. You have a nice ecclectic mix on your site, I like the Scruggs by Barnhart. :thumbup:

If you still have the cue, I would be interested in buying it outright. I don't need the case, what is your price for just the cue?
