Longshot but..........
looking for med-hard, but will take what ya got...

What hardness and from which generation of Moori are you looking for?

i'm looking for first gen moori- NOT moori 3's.....

difference i learned from Drexler. <breif synopsis>
Moori used to be an actual person sitting at his kitchen table gluing leather together then hand punching them into tips.... then selling them.

then biz went mass production and the moori 3 was born.... and it has an extra layer in it- 12 compared to 11- or something like that... and i find the new ones mushroom more than the old...

i want some of the older ones..
i tried out a tiger tip and it's pretty good... no mushrooming.

But i figured someone out there has a 'secret stash' maybe they can part with a couple... <not looking for 20... just 3-6 of them.... but heck i'll even take just ONE.... LOL..>

when i do my layered tips i always go 1 layer deep i get very little mushroom if any. a shape up a few weeks later and thats it. ive been playing with the same sniper over a year and my friends moori has been almost two yrs. hes due for a new one soon

I hope this is not out of line, but CueJunkiee has a great idea here. If someone does have these tips, AFTER CueJunkiee get's all he wants, I would like to purchase some as well. Thanks.

If this is out of line CueJunkiee, I will delete this post.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the original Moori tips only come in Soft, Med, Med Hard, and Hard ??? No better tips than these have EVER BEEN MADE imo.

If you guys run into Paul Thornley in Toronto, I think he has a few tins of the old original moori left. He's needs $40.00 plus a piece for them thought.

Duc.

Personally, I switched to Talisman. They work for me. The new Mooris seem to glaze over sort of like disc brakes, and you just can't ever get them back to the state that they used to be.

The original Moori tips just had letters on them like M, ME, MH and so on for hardness. I have a few of those and I get $50 to put them on and only have a few left. I have sold a few for $45 to those who want to just buy the tips. I have had these tips many years. The ones with S, M and Q are the start of the mass produced ones. So those that are called 1st generation by most are not the original ones made by moori himself. Then came Moori II and now Moori III all with the S, M and Q for hardnesses.

Since we're on the subject of tips, the new Super Molavia and original Molavia tips are great. I got nothing but excellent feedback on them, we carry them at www.customcuesandtips.com. They play great for me and many others. The super Molavia tips layered are treated with a special formula....that has improved and maintain the the consistency of the hit longer. I found that the Molavia hold it's shape a lot better than most layered tips on the market.

i have 3 hard orignal tips for sale with just the h.25.00 each.have a nice day. george

i have 4 MH originals coming my way from an AZ'er....
yes- the one's with M H MH S are the first gen. Those are just the best.... some of the older cues i've bought and sold have had them on it and i have gotten a few installed in the past but 'my guy' doesn't have any left. Hold chalk and shape very well.... and i really like the feel of the hit they produce.

so AZ is a great place... i'll post good karma when i get them in my hands...
:-)
