Any opinions on the Orange Crusher?

There's a coupon code for the orange crusher and the reaper in the february edition of inside pool mag. There's a free preview at http://www.insidepoolmag.com/ so you can see the ad there (it's on the left side under free download, just click the picture)

Or you can contact Mike through AZBforums and he'll give you the deal personally.

I haven't bought an orange crusher (already have a break and jump/break) but I'm tempted even though I don't need it because the deal is so good lol.

I just tried ordering one and it still says the total amount of $225 plus shippping ??? I put the code in and everything and tried 4 times and it still came out the original price....<<< So whats up with this add in the magazine ??? Im contacting them in the morning.....ED

Ed,
My site wouldn't take a weight with the order for the Orange Crusher. It was added yesterday and created a glitch in the system. It has been fixed and now has a weight button added. I want the cues to be right for my customers and I will make sure this is so. I really appreciate your help.
Mike

As I posted in another thread, I just walked in the door with mine. Haven't hit a rack yet but will probably do so tonight. Mine is 18.5 ounces. I like the feel of it. I haven't had a dedicated cue specifically for breaking in some time. I've been using an old Adam.

I like it! I broke maybe 12 or 15 racks just now. Not much of a test, I know, but I've been out of the house all day and don't play blast break games that often any more. I'm tired;)
I break from around the spot, always have. I failed to make a ball one time only, from there. Made a ball breaking from the side, something I almost never do and seldom make a ball when I do. About 8 inches out from the spot, nothing, one out of two.
Like all of Mike's cues, The Orange Crusher hits solid. I had an early Sledgehammer for several years and this is better, in my opinion. I think if you can get this from Mike at the special price it's well worth it. Worth it even if you have to pay full price later, but I'm glad I was able to jump on it now at the special.

Took my orange crusher out for a test drive today. I was very impressed with the power and control I received. I was able to stick the cue dead center of the table numerous breaks. Very solid feeling cue.

Just curious, what weight is yours? I got mine 18.5 ounces.

Ordered mine last Sunday. Got it on Friday morning. I'd been going back and forth on buying this cue for a few months,, since I already a break cue that works pretty well, and $225 wasn't really in the budget at the time. But at $125 I couldnt pass it up. Figured if I didn't like it I could get close to full value selling it.

Took it over to a friend's house, and we took turns breaking with it. It was a big hit (pun intended). Playing 9-ball the racks were spreading nicely with at least one ball going down. Lots of balls moving uptable even though we were all breaking at about the same speed as we always do (verified by my BreakSpeed app). It spread the balls better than my McDermott Stinger, and without the hollow sound or feel of a phenolic tip. The closest break cue I've used in terms of results is the Predator BK2. I used it on my home table, which plays tougher than my friends table, and I was consistently making multiple balls with a head on break, which hasn't happened with any of my other break cues. I really don't have a great break. But with this thing I do. I love the taper, which is really long and makes for an easy follow through. Mine is 18.5oz. I'll definitely be putting some more break and runs together if this keeps up.

I'm very glad I bought this. Wouldn't trade it for anything else out there. Thanks, Mike, for making a great cue.

Can anyone provide this $125 promo code or a direct link to the appropriate page on Inside Pool's site? I have searched and cannot find it. I pm'd Mike but haven't heard back from him. I certainly would try the Orange Crusher at this price if the deal is available.
