Well, ain't you all a bunch of whiners, and cry babies.
I'm 70 and I look like Paul Newman when he was a teenager.
I go to bed at two in the morning and get up at five. And that's after a night of sex.
Hell, I walk to the pool hall everyday just to keep from racking up miles on the Corvette.
The last time I ordered a drink at the poolroom they asked me for my ID.
My nickname is Dick Phoenix, because of that mythical bird, if you get my drift.
C'mon guys. :)

Hey, pt. You think they (cough, cough) bought it? Do ya?
I need to get to bed. I (hack, hack) got a Doctor's appointment in the morning.

Tramp, I'll be down there shortly....pack your suitcase....
...we goin' on da road!

GOLDEN YEARS:
I can't see,
I can't pee.
I can't chew,
I can't screw.
My memore shrinks,
My hearing stinks.
No sense of smell,
I look like hell.
My body is drooping,
I have trouble pooping.
The golden years have come at last,
The golden years can kiss my ass.

I'm going on 70. Everyday is a great one. I'm staying around for spite. Have not bought a cue since Aug. I can use another Predator.

We're the lucky ones! So many of our peers have departed already, a lot of them younger than us. Like all of you I have the usual health problems but considering the alternative I hope to get a lot older. I'm only 72 and still going strong.

I don't like to brag but I will anyway. I have had at least a dozen different girl friends in the last ten years in the Philippines, always looking for the one I wanted to bring here, with no luck until last year. This sweet young lady has agreed to join me in my crib for the duration. I'm a very lucky guy and I know it. She's smart, with her own business, and we already have a nice home in the Philippines to return to anytime. I can play all the poker and pool I want over there and the games are good!

Sorry for the giant photo. What do I know, I'm just an old fart! P.S. Don't anyone tell her I'm not Bruce Willis!

I'll tell you I'm only 67 and the wheels are coming off the cart. I'm paying for all my foolishness. Motorcycle, marshal arts , football concussions. Broken ribs and assorted other breaks. Man what a mess. Add to that essential tremors, probably from the concussions.I wish I was a horse many times so someone could put me out of my misery .

I am thankful that I can still play pool daily at the senior center; Heck I got lots of excuses for my game

Sorry for the rant.

All that and more due to motorcycles, football, career as LEO, and more. Couldn't even play pool as of last year. 69 3/4 years old.

Got up with my doctor and got some stuff "fixed". New knees, rotator cuff surgery left shoulder, complete shoulder rebuild on right shoulder (no cuff left") went on a diet and lost 60+ pounds, quit smoking, aggressive rehab done at home by me. It has been a year and a half since I started.

Can do just about anything now except very weak on break. Working on strength training on that, and getting better.

You might not fix everything, but you can get better than you feel right now. Mental attitude is everything.

Best of luck to you.

So this morning at 9 am I'm in the room playing my 83 year old cancer survivor opponent some 1 hole, I'm 74 and he gives me all I can handle, going to keep it going as long as we can.

WOW that's a bunch.

I may be doing the rotator cuff left side. Knees maybe and hip due to the crazy hours I put in as a Chef. I'm baby sitting a 70 Pitbull Boxer mix while my son went Naval basic training. I think the beast may have finished the shoulder with his jumping and pulling. I'm doing physical therapy and going to a Chiropractor weekly along with muscle relaxers and pain med.

Reminds me of the guy who said how much stronger he'd gotten in his old age.

"Used to be, I'd get a hard-on, and I couldn't bend it with two hands. Now, I get a hard-on and I can bend it with two fingers."

Well , all I can say is that I'm 60, and even though I'm currently snowed in, frozen day and night, and have been that way since Dec 22nd of last year....I still manage to stay busy as hell. Take yesterday for example, I was so busy doing NOTHING....that I only got half done!!!

Gentlemen, I think that we can all learn a lesson from our good friend Jay. He has proven, once again, that even though we may be too old to cut the mustard, we can still lick the lid.
Jay, in the words of that great philosopher, Eric Von Zipper: "You is my hero."

Knees and hip are easy rehab, and you will be really glad you did them. Don't put them off, if you can help it. Rotator cuff is tougher, and you will have more pain and rehab.
Take advantage of modern medicine, your doctor can help you a lot.
If you have any questions, I'll help in any way I can.

At 68, ten racks of straight nearly does me in. I'm just getting over a typical cold. Haven't had a cold/flu for at least ten years.

You know, 1st day I thought I was gonna die. By the 3rd I wished I had.

A couple of years ago I bought a blow-up doll at a store called "The Garden of Eaton". Eaton is a small town not too far from where I live. Her name is Lola, and we've been going together ever since.
A week ago she suffered a pin ***** (no pun intended) and sprang a leak, but I didn't have the energy to blow her back up. Being with Lola would sometimes leave me breathless, but this was ridiculous.
We're separated now. She moved back in to her shoe box on the top self of my closet. If my health doesn't improve I suspect we'll get a divorce.
No matter what the outcome is I'm sure gonna miss the good times we had together. Like last Summer, for example. I had opened up the house to let some cool breezes in and during a fit of passion I bit her on the breast a bit harder than I should have. All of a sudden she farted, and flew out a window. The next day I found her over in the neighbors yard playing with their dog.
Being 70 is no fun.

I'm almost 64, quit when I was in my mid 20's, I played pretty sporty then. Started back 18 months ago, and except for a couple months off with back surgery, have really enjoyed it, getting that stroke back. I still have back problems, and as my Dad used to say "son, when you get old, if it doesn't hurt, it doesn't work". I also play at our local senior center, we have some in their mid 80's that can play, watching them you can tell they had some talent years ago.
