Any tip that's close to sniper in terms of play/sound

They're no longer available in my country and I don't order tips online I just buy from the cue repairman near my pool hall he used to have sniper but now he stopped bringing them.

What happens when your guy runs out of something that plays like a sniper? You start looking for something that plays like something that plays like a sniper?

You should probably see what he has the most of of or will always have in-stock and start getting used to that, or you could buy a large enough number of your preferred tips to make it worth the cost of shipping.

Moory Ruby, might be worth checking out, grips the ball better than sniper and holds the chalk better, but still a quite similar hit.

I'll also give a nod to talisman... I played with snipers for a long time...

I have installed a few hundred sniper tips .
There are just to many better made tips on the market to stock them any more.
Seen way to many of them delaminate...

I've also installed hundreds of them, and never had one delaminate.

Although relatively few, I have had issues with Kamui Blacks.

Yes topic kind of has everything I'm looking for a tip that got same feel and sound and play of a good sniper tip. Any suggestions or recommendations please with no modification tips, I want factory tips without any modifications like milk soaking or heat or pressing that's just not for me ? Thanks

Some told me that elk master is close, but I kinda doubted a cheap tip to be as good but let me know

If you can't get Sniper I would recommend Kamui brown hard and also like Wizard tips.
Either of those will work very well.
Not a big fan of the black Kamui - for me - they always seem to glaze over after a few shots but the brown and the Wizard work very super nicely.
Also I have a strong preference for hard tips so if the hard is too hard get medium.
Wouldn't go softer than that, not for me, just feel too mushy for my taste at that point.

Onyx maybe, too - although they are spec'ed a bit softer.
I loved the feel of the Sniper when it was new. The Onxy has the same feel.
Soundwise I'm not sure (don't listen to that) but maybe a little quieter.

The blackness also helps with aiming (high contrast against ball).
Cheers!

Delaminate

I've also installed hundreds of them, and never had one delaminate.

I wished I could say the same thing, I have seen half box delaminate.
When I called the person who sold them to me they didn't seemed to surprised either..

Training issue ?

It's a training issue. Contact Tiger (Tony) 818-238-9906. He'll sort you out.

Some of these tips are delaminating in the box before they where ever installed !!!
I don't know how he wants to sort that out ?
If you think My cutter is dull it is not because I am using a veneer trimer and a 1/4 mill end to cut the tip to the ferrule ...
But I would be happy to call tony ...
I called my supplier he said they got wet:( and that's what causes them to delaminate.
And no refund or replacement tips where offered ...
That's when I stopped spitting on tips, but it didn't make any difference they still delaminated

Sniper at one time was my favorite tip, but after the rash of them delaminating.
I don't want anything to do with them.

Personally I was thinking of stocking the new green Moori's instead... of the snipers.
