Any updates on csi event going on?

Hohmann breaks and runs out to win the US Open 10 ball Championship. Must say, Hohmann played great in this match and Justin got every bad roll possible.

Great week for Thorsten! Straight pool title and now the 10 ball! Congratulations to Thorsten

Other guy misses. Hohmann up 10-4 and breaking.

LOL cracked me up call the other guy "other guy"
Now finally Toastie can get some respect and be included in MC Euro after being shockingly bypassed past 2 years despite being World Champ.
Maybe Team Euro will include him when he wins a "World" which is not exactly a WC and a 7ft tourney that is not exactly US Open:thumbup:

14.1 is to Toasty as anger is to the Hulk. It turns him into a friggin' beast everytime!

Funny how Thorsten in his acceptance interview corrected Jay.
"Bar table champion" his words.
Great play by Hohmann.

I was in NJ a couple years ago with Thorsten watching Mosconi Cup live and the reason he wasn't included on that year's team was because he won the Japan Open just after the decision was made for who made Team Euro.

If the Japan Open was just a little earlier, he would have easily made it on.

I'm happy for his successes these past two weeks.

A great player and a really nice guy.

best,

That's bullshit. He had already won the world 9ball and world straight pool BEFORE the decision was made. The decision was made to accept Boyes ONLY because of ratings that year.

Easy tiger; it must have been the previous year; I'm getting old man, memory is fading.

At least I wasn't thinking of some 'other guy'.

Sorry I was snippy. That slight by Matchroom is still a very sore spot for me. TH is too classy a guy to really speak his mind about what really happened.

No hard feelings, kickin'.

You know what I like about Toasty...everything. Solid good guy and to beat him right now it's gonna take a supreme effort. He will certainly be a threat in the 8-ball as well, you got to give him a top 5 chance of getting there.

They robbed and toasted Toastie is what they did
The year you taking about must be 2010 when he won All Japan ( which is more prestigious than Japan Open). Since that year he has never be on team Euro
But the travesty of justice we are talking about is not 2010 it was past 2 years including 2013 when he was W9BC. Instead they put in "Ball cleaner " Boyes who is 2nd tier in the World Class Barometer. They could do it I suppose since they will win with bunch of 2nd or 3rd tier guys
Incidentally , Toastie is only one who can achieve the modern career Grand Slam of 4 majors (W8B or W9B or W10B + USO + China Open + All Japan). He only needs US Open to complete it - I mean the real 9ft US Open not as this one is as he put it "Bar Table" US Open. A real champ who is under appreciated .

And whether you agree or not, the first two years of the resuscitated world straight pool championships were in fact, officially sanctioned, WPA world championships. And he won the innagural event.

Yes, but if Europe put together a team of champions instead of throwing in a few mercy picks every year, the Mosconi Cup would be even less competitive than it is now...
