Anybody got their finished John Davis yet?

Just wondered if anyone had pics of their John Davis cue. It maybe too early still,just wondering.:D

I just placed an order today...I still have approx. 16 weeks.....can't wait..

I ordered one last week. What configuration did you order? I got Ebony points with black,orange,green and maple veneers into Birdseye.
 
I talked to Mr. Davis a couple days ago. I should have a cue at my door in the next week or two.

I'll post up some pics when I get that bad boy in.......

Like the other guys who have one on order...I can't wait!! :)

Yes, sir....sure did.

I figured I'd like to have a full on cue from the man that was so deep in the game all those years back.

I toyed around with getting a blank, and having another guy do the work...but I decided, ultimately, to get a real deal Davis cue instead.

Very much looking forward to it, too.
 
I came to the same conclusions on mine. In fact, I had ordered a blank, thought about it for 4-5 days, and called John back and ordered the cue instead because of all the history around him. Tulipwood points into an ebony nose, tulipwood buttcap, can't remember the four veneers (will ask him next time I talk to him), solid black linen wrap, 5/16x14 piloted ivory joint. Due in May, will post pics when it arrives!
 
can somebody please pm me some prices they may have gotten for a full cue and what options he has available..

Can't wait!!

I ordered a blank from him a few weeks ago, and ordered a full cue again on Friday cause I want to try his hit. Surely it won't be disappointing!
 
I don't think it will...

John is a perfectionist, wants his cues to be just right...was my impression.

Almost exactly the same...He suggested a Hoppe butt....As long as we don't wear the same shirt on league night I think we will be OK...
