Anyone Came Back Strong after 10 yrs

Not that this is even remotely close but, I quit for 2.5 years and walked into a place with some BB's, played around for 20mins then beat the ghost 10 -1. Hung the 7 ball in like the 7th or 8th rack because of talking to somebody and not concentrating(my fault).

I agree, it's like riding a bike. I think the long layoffs are actually good for you.
Jason

Your right 2 1/2 is not even close to a long lay off that's vacation time ,, 10 - 20 would qualify, I did 10 and I've never hit the same gear I once had but I'm still raising kids at 56 some my time is still limited

Yes, it certainly can be done!..I'll explain how and why!..I stepped away from the game completely, for about 20 years. ..Never even went in a poolroom!..I re-married, got a good job, and earned a good pension!..After I retired, (at age 60) and started playing again, in a very short while, I was playing better than I had in my prime! (which was very competitive)

The main reason for this..I believe, was that I was more comfortable, financially, and did not have to depend on hustling pool for my only income!..I was playing guys who had continued to play during my hiatus, that I used to have trouble with, and was soon beating them easily!..Pool had become fun again! :p

PS..Pool really is just like riding a bike..If you had decent skills to begin with, and retained your love for the game, you won't lose it!..It might not work that way for everyone, but thankfully it certainly did for me..

That's great !!!! I go through Arizona every April on the way to Supercross finals in Vegas .... Yes Supercross !!!!! I love to get in some action on the way and on the way back .... Shoot me a text or PM ....214-937-1972 let's find out how good you are \ AND ME ,,,,,lol

Wu chia Ching or jia jing? Idk if ur talking about this Wu but I didn't know he had cancer n I'm assuming it's him considering he won In 06 at age 16 so should b around that age

Yes, that Wu;) First Wu has been banned from international competition because he switched sides from Taiwan to China (rumor has it that it was because he wanted to avoid conscription in Taiwan). After like two years he decided to serve his time (12 months) in military to settle his matters with Taiwan to be eligible for international competition again. And very soon after he has done his time in military and started to play internationaly again he got leukemia which took more or less another 2 years of his life if I remember right. He had a LOT on his plate so far:eek:
