I listen to country. I'm just an urban cowboy from NY. Johnnyt

Me too johnny, but im from Texas so it makes more sense:smile: . Alot of times I dont put anything on but when I do its country. My regular hall play ONLY hard rock, (never been a fan of rock) so when I get home I dont want to hear any rock at all.

X3 - a good, long session is great with some Hand Williams Jr, Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Cross Canadian, George Strait, Chris Leduex....I am sure I am leaving out a ton of great artists...

Rock, I'd say G N R, Def Leppard, old school Metallica, Van Halen....again, leaving out a ton of artists...

Old School Rap - Rob Bass, Run DMC, Insane Clowe Posse, Sir Mix-a-lot....tons more too....

Nothing like inspiration, especially during a long session....could play for hours on end with the right music...

clutch. they're a band out of MD. more i talk about 'em more i find people who don't know them - that's a shame. they run the spectrum from ultra hard (early stuff) to much more intricate and melodic (newer stuff). just one of my favorites. my mp3 is full of thier stuff. the song "immortal" always gets me going. oh, them and Zeppelin. i am a drummer and have a tattoo on my back with john bonham's bass drum logo in the middle. that's my music of choice.

While practicing in my game room, I love to turn up the volume on anything by the Grateful Dead or Jerry Garcia Band. Also stuck on Dylan, Bonnie Raite and Susan Tedeski.

But the Dead seem to bring out my best game. You?

I also Listen to Classic Rock during Practice, and the Dead is a Great Choice. However, I also like to listen Lynard Skinard, Bruce Springsten, Led Zepplin, and who could practice without Pink Floyd!!!!

I suggest Jeff Beck's song Nadia....high runout potential from this one!
I usually just hit "repeat" and then rob whoever I'm playin'! :)

Please no Rap!

I can play pool to just about anything but rap. Even horribly sung karaoke is better than rap music to me.

right on especially the old aerosmith "Train Kept Rollin" ...anything bluesy Muddy Waters Hard again album with Johnny Winters is probably my favorite...

Clutch is fairly underground. I love 'em though. Good practice music.

Can't argue with Spidey & Scott, some Floyd goes well with pool. Not just with practice though, I love hearing some good stuff during a game (thanks to the jukebox in my regular PH.)

Nothing is better than U2 for me though, I'm a big fan. Some of their lyrics are perfect for pool, but you gotta be quick! For instance, opening lines of Where The Streets Have No Name...

"I want to run (obvious)
I want to hide (safety)
I want to tear down the walls that hold me inside (getting out of a safety!)

Like I said, you gotta be quick!

Fave AC/DC line.....

"Won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives. Nobody's putting up a fight."

Great line, but sadly not appropriate often enough!:o :( :(
