Here for the week and need some local recommendations for shooting some stick and a family friendly place for Crab legs and Halibut. Also any other local insight into places to check out. Have a day or two free where we should be in or around Anchorage

Thanks

Event producer extraordinaire Mark Griffin is from Anchorage. Perhaps he'll chime in.

I'm not from Anchorage...but The Anchorage Billiards Palace seems to be the place.

If my source is correct, it's owned by Mark Griffin's ex.

She sold it, but yes, that is THE place. PM me if you want to meet up.

Good halibut can be had at Greek Corner on C Street & Fireweed when in season, but it's kinda early yet. Might be better getting beer batter halibut chunks at Humpy's on 5th. As for crab, try the bucket of crab at Sea Galley on C Street. You can add a prime rib for a few extra bucks. Gotta try a sandwich at the Flight Deck on Int. Airport Rd. before leaving Anchorage.

Methinks you have gotten better info than I can provide at this time. I left Anchorage about 10 years ago.
