Anyone have first hand experience with this table?

It looks pretty slick, just wondering if it is more furniture grade or pro grade in a 7 footer. ( I get that it ain't a diamond, and I get that it ain't a GC)

I bought one about 6 months ago (8 footer), and I love it. If you have any specific questions ask away :)

By the way, if you buy one, DON'T pay $300 for the Brunswick sticker. I can hook you up with a person on Etsy that made mine, both sides, for $40!

I don't. Let me know where it's at and if possible I'll swing by and hit a couple of balls on it then report back to you.

I looked at one of these before I bought my diamond. I liked the ball return option. I was talking to a local dealer and he said they stopped selling these Brunswick's several years ago. He said the Q/C was lacking big time and Brunswick was a pain to deal with customers weren't happy so they stopped selling them all together. I agree its a decent looking table. For the amount of money this is I would look for a decent gold crown or a nice older Connelly Ultimate. If you can go up in budget buy a diamond. Just my .02 and what I heard on the above table.

Sounds like grimper likes his though so that's good news maybe they turned it around in the Q/C dept.

Cheers

I have installed one and played on it. Its OK, if you are a serious player: NO. If you are casual and want it for kids/ family stuff, GREAT TABLE.

Thanks for the responses folks.

Right now I have a valley model 88 clone. It has been fine and is built like a tank, but it is getting time to replace the cloth and a couple of rails have developed a distinctive "thud", so I am looking at Penguin pro cut rails. Anyway, it only being the smaller 88 model really irritates me for whatever reason.

There seem to be several folks around here (southeast) selling the restored valley 93"'s from anywhere from $1200 to 2k. Is this generally a good deal? It seems like a valley should not be hard to fix up. I was thinking about maybe spraying the ball return with a plasti-dip and filling the cabinet with insulation to make it overall quieter.

Even with all that, it is still 4k less than a diamond, and I wouldn't have to wait 7 months.

I guess my question is, Take 9 footers off the table. Take Diamonds off the table. Is there a better option for a serious league player, with no grand illusions of ever getting much over a 600 FR, than a well set up Valley?

I'd like that person's contact detail, please.

Ignore these "if it ain't Diamond it sucks" answers and buy the table. Enjoy the table. Invest the $4k you saved :)

I bought the original Black Wolf brand new in 2019 when my wife and I moved into our house in CA. I wanted a Brunswick and it looked like a good option. The Pro version has the superspeed cushions, and the regular one (which we had) had pretty dead cushions. The ball return was just a bunch of plastic tubing, and balls would constantly get stuck. Pocket facings were hard plastic and made a horrible sound when you made a ball. Super loud sound when the ball dropped into the collector. Pockets were 5 inch corners and 5 1/2 inch sides. A good table for a hobbyist, friends, family, etc. but not a serious player. Table went out of level constantly and adjusting it is not easy. We sold the house 14 months later and left the table as part of the deal. For $4k, I would definitely by a used GC or Pro-Am if possible.

I don't think anybody said this but surely, you are not comparing the Black Wolf to a Diamond or a Gold Crown. It's not even close.

Is yours the "pro model"? I can't find very much info on the differences other than cushions. If you have the ball return, have you noticed any of the issues DJ mentioned such as super loud or balls getting stuck? Thanks again for taking time to inform.

This is a big deal to me. I want low maintenance. I have had the model 88 for 6 years now. Last time the mechanic changed the cloth he checked the level. After 4 years of daily play, no adjustment needed.

I think the cushions and the decal are the only differences, but the cushions are a big deal. The non-pro version I had was definitely a home table, although it looks much better than most of them-
