Anyone know Haskell Brown from TN

I ran into a buzzsaw during a 9 ball 7-8-9 MiniMania tournament by the name of Haskell Brown. Thin blonde haired kid probably about 25-30 years old wearing a University of Kentucky ballcap, who said he was from Tennessee. He played with a Latham (sp?) BEM custom cue. This guy was super nice and played jam up. On our way to the table he explained that he had beaten the first guy he played 66-15 points. Not in a boastful way, just saying he hit a high gear. He went on to do me in 66-14, with the large majority of those points being a 4 or 5 pack (i forget). Awesome break, making 2 or 3 balls on most breaks. And even made 4 balls on one break.

I was just wondering if this was his normal game or what?

The next match he played a SL7 that broke and ran the first 3 racks to get within 18 points of his goal. Kind of put Haskell on tilt, and he couldn't recover.

P.S. If anyone is confused about the ball count being lower than normal, apparently they shorten the races on the MiniMania tournies to speed up the games.

Hmmm, no pic with your cell phone? I'm sure somebody could ID him with a pic.

They say he's seven feet tall, and he breaks a rack of 9 ball by shooting lightning bolts out of his ass. They say he can back-cut a ball 120-degrees with one arm tied behind his back. Hell of a man.

I know him very well, Judy Brown's son, She used to play on the ladies tour a little. He is a good B player.

I believe you are confusing Mr. Brown to the famous (and infamous) Bill Brasky. All of which is true.

Wow, a B player. He was playing above that level when I played him. I guess he truly was just catching a high gear. Just my luck... :(

Thanks for the info, DoubleA.

He is definitly capable of a high gear at times.

Yeah, he plays OK at times and a little better than OK at others. B speed is pretty accurate.

Next time I see him I will tell him he made a new fan......
