paypal wont do anything bc its after the protection period...and he actually sent the item

heres what happened...

bought a NEW ob2 off him, came quick looked great other than it had no logo and a short short collar and no ring like i wanted (was def a blank i didnt know prehand, but oh well, great price) chalked it up and shot about 3 shots with it and realized it was loose, went to tighten it and it just kept spining the joint out, wasnt glued or insserted right or something...i got the shaft on tuesday shipped it BACK on wed.

he told me his buddy or something like that is a dealer and has another one that i can have to send it back(cant remember exact story on where he was getting em)..ok, sent it back.. he sends me another..this one was also a blank but had the ring and logo. dont remember what day i got it but i shot the next night with it and when i set it on the table and rolled it (shoulda done it before even taking a shot) it flopped like a fish outta water..LOL

i had that shaft 2 days and sent it back imidiately the 3rd.

called and he said that it happened in the mail (this was back in oct) was hott still and got heat warped or whatever...he was filing a insurance claim..i assumed it was bs but whatever just wanted a shaft.

waited 2 weeks (he was waiting on P.O insurance money to get another shaft) and he said he was ordering a new one from ob, ok..waited another week or 2, he says they shipped him a ob1 insteada 2

waited another week or so, and he said he was waiting for it to come..another week or so, he was shipping it, then it was day after day he was too busy and couldnt make it in time bc of work which i undewrstand PO is only open till 430..then he sends me a tracking number after he said his wife/gf shipped it monday (oct 21st), the tracking number says it was sent days before he even said he sent it (i remember exact days it said sent oct 17th and delivered oct22) it was delivered to another state. the best part was i talked to him on the 17-19 and the new shaft wasnt even to his house yet, it arrived the 20th and shipped the 21st but that tracking was a package sent on 17th from him to another state... he goes on for days saying they messed up and waiting for it to be REROUTED and all this BS. the PO will not reroute a package, it would have to be resent with a new tracking which was confirmed at my PO... i let it go and waited..he then says he had to order another shaft


waited a another week or 2, he does the same work blah bblah ill ship it monday, then monday nighht ill ship it thursday, then monday, then thursday..finally bc he couldnt make it he paid for a fedex pick up, which i never got tracking but this package was LOST or damaged label or some other BS, that was back in the end of november..he then was in a sever accident with internal bleeding and havent heard from him for weeks atleast 3..

i paid on sept 15, its january and still no shaft or refund..hes been claiming he was going to give me a refund since dec first week, also b4 the accident he spent a whole day trying to straighten out his paypal account that has been hijacked and he had to reopen with new info and do the bank deposits and all..dont know if i believe it ort not but it sure did seem like he was trying as i was on the phone several times that day but why didnt he send the payment the next day or so after it got str8?

im no moron but if all this really did happen, he should be playing the lottery..i believe 75% of what happened at most..

i just would like to know his screen name so i can leave negative trader so he doesnt rip anyone else off

also he told me he got burnt on a 1100 cue on here and is staying away because he gave the money to a escrow (fake he said) and the escrow gave the money to a buddy and never sent the cue and guy claimed he never got the money...

ok, rob is now texting me back and has been the last few days(actually the night after this post is when i fially got ahold of him) hes also PISSED about this thread but i didnt want this to happen to anyone

i apologize for saying hes not returning my texts or calls but the last few weeks ive left 2 messages and SEVERAL texts including when the accident happened talking to his son..im sure it was bc of the accident...whatever, i left it go bc i hope he feels better and dont wish nothing like what happened to him on anyone..i really believe he was in the hospital that long and glad to hear hes feeling better

also i do want to tell everyone at first he went above and beyound what i expected, i figured he would have just said oh well pretty much in the joint insert spinning out..he imidiatly made it right,(tried) i feel bad all that happened but what can i say, 2 shafts both had severe problems..he didnt have to get me another shaft, a refund would have been fine.
also, the second shaft i was told probably wasnt bent that the face of the joint was proabably off to make it flop like that, could have been a easy fix and was willing to accept it back but he got rid of it..when i rolled it the tip came off the table over a 1/8 inch, so it wasnt minor..i was so happy he got me another i would have tolerated alittle

i just want a refund...also at this point i told him id take 1 of the first shafts back and have em fixed

hes now claiming something about paypal refunded me back in september when i filed a claim and hes going to show "proof" on here to clear this up, if that happened why did he send me a second shaft in oct. and promised and keep this going till january..i never got a refund, paypal denied my claim because UNLESS on ebay they dont cover item not as described..then the protection period was over

you can literally sell someone something for 1000$ and send them a BRICK paypal wont do shit unless its ebay, they denied my claim even thjo he has the $ and the shaft, only way they protect is if you dont get anything..

rob just make this right and clear your name, you were a great seller at first and went above and beyound...just finish this and it will be over..

last time i talked to him was 6 weeks ago, when it was snowing i think and he was selling all his pool stuff i guess a table and said hed pay me after he got the money from it..it went weeks that bc of the snow the guy couldnt haul it...

After doing a search for Robert Ingold, the only thing I could find even remotely close was the Robert Ingold that owns Atlantic Billiards in Florida. Looked up Royal Palm Beach on AZ and found Ballbreaker, who is also the owner of Atlantic Billiards and was selling OB shafts at that same time last year. If this thread is true, it needs to be taken care of. If not, it needs to be addressed. Either way..

And if you can't get an answer, take it up as a business matter with either the BBB or the state's consumer hotline/bureau.

i cant remember the original deal amount for the shaft but it was around 150 give or take...

rob, if you wanna make this right...ill even take less, i need a cue refinished and am having steve klapp do it, pay the 100 for it and ill eat the other 50 or whatever the deal was...im just trying to get something for my money..i understand you lost on buying multiple shafts to attempt to make it right...(if you even did)...WILLING TO TAKE LESS TO MAKE IT RIGHT!

ive asked you several times last year for just a nice case when i needed one, or even one of the damaged shafts back..i was bending over backwards to help ya out and take less $...

We did a trade about the same time. The OB shafts he sent me were bogus.
This was one.

I sent the shafts back. He was suppose to pay me for the cases I had sent him.
He put it off and off again. I heard the same excuses his health/accident and girlfriend shipping to a wrong address. Selling Atlantic billiards and the deal falling thru. How the case was for his son.
I kept bugging him until he finally sent the cases back.
One of my cases was probably what he offered you.:frown:
The positive I trader he got from me was a mistake. It was meant for someone else. I tried to get it retracted.
Keep the faith buddy maybe he will come thru eventually. He did with me.

Thats is the screen name you are looking for. I got ripped off by him as well. Last I heard he was in Sieverville TN. I havent seen him log in ubder that name in awhile so I think he hit the road. I actually ended up with two cues as payment for what he owned me - only to have the maker contact me and tell me they were stolen! How's that for business?!

ballbreaker is the right one. He screwed me on a Carolina Custom and after having to deal with him and never doing what he said he would do I called and talked to Trevor at Carolina and he said the guy is a nut case and Trevor took very good care of me and had the best customer service in the industry as far as I am concerned.
