Anyone know the maker of this lathe?

I thought it might be East Indian. I clicked on a couple of links and they took you to some Indian vids.

Yah turrets and tailstocks are not the same beast. I've seen quite a few Logan's around Socal with turrets and not tailstocks. The tailstock can't be used effectively, or at all, with the turret in place and all but one I have found had one but not the other.

I've never removed a turret, but I have removed the small tailstocks and saddles on 13 inch lathes. I can only guess how heavy and awkward they are to R and R. Just the saddle(stripped) weighs over 50 lbs and the lifting position is terrible.

You mean these. I picked this up Sat. Thanks to the vid, I have lots of ideas on how to make this work as a joint machine.

Mystery Lathe

I have one that must be from the same manufacturer, but mine's about 3 years old. When I picked it up in China everyone said it was from Taiwan.
Looks like they've made some improvements. If I needed to repair a few hundred house cues, I'd pull it out; but for general repairs on high end cues the setup is not likely to match. Also, it will only do one tip radius. I'm asked for all kinds of radii when doing repairs so, at best, it could function as a second lathe.

Whats with Kung Pao Chicken?
Was that an attempt at racist humor because the repairman obviously spoke
an Asian language?

How would you like it if we made fun of hairy Portuguese women that
stole wood.

At least the Asian fellow obviously knew what he was doing on the lathe.
Maybe his cues even hit like Sugartree Cues. Never know.

Don't even know a turret from a tailstock.
Go take a big pinch of Shinola buddy.

Don't hold back, Hog! Tell it like you mean it!
