thanks mac, i didn't know i could find that info on ebay. i'll try calling him tomorrow. if i can find his phone number, i'm assuming it works both ways , that he can find mine. i just have a feeling this will go nowhere with this guy. and i'll be stuck with the hassle of getting money back from him thru paypal. personally, for me, the amount of time spent/wasted on this kind of crap is more important than than the money

I would guess if the guy has a phone listed you could pick-up his info just with a search of a online phone book and/or google his name and address, one or more of these have work for me in the past.

yes.. when you have an auction.. buying or selling.. you can use the "CONTACT INFORMATION FORM"

its real easy and will only work if you have a transaction in the works.. wether buying or selling...

when you request his contact information, it will then email you with his registration information..assuming its all up to date.. it will send you his name adress and phone number...

ALSO.. once you do this.. ebay will email him also saying that you requested his information and it will also send him yours..

sometimes when you do this.. sellers or buyers kinda get scared and get their butts moving in order to complete the transaction..

i hope all this works out for you..

listing ended on june 3rd. it's been three weeks now, with only the one response that he was shipping it on the 9th in that time frame. i haven't been nasty to him, just want a response.
called and left message on his voicemail today, june 25th, 11:00am.

dispute

filed dispute claim with paypal
says seller has 20 days to respond
and then, how many more days before i get money back????
anyone ever do this with paypal???

I suggest you do the same thing with E-Bay:

The time frame depends on if the seller responds and exactly what he says. I would think it will be resolved in a week or two, although I have not actually had this exact situation happen.

If you file a dispute through Paypal, Ebay will not do anything for you. I had a similiar deal a month ago. I paid a guy $400 for an It's George cue which I never received. I paid via Paypal. I started my dispute after not receiving the cue for almost a month (with a lot of emailing the seller). I went to Ebay who asked if I bought it via Paypal. They said I needed to start the ball rolling with Paypal. I filed the dispute and waited the required number of days. Paypal sent me a credit for $175 in a quick time frame and said that was all they were able to recover from the loser's account. I figured I'd go back to Ebay for the rest, but they said that they were not liable and basically told me that whatever I got back from Paypal was as good as it gets. Good luck!

Whenever you have doubt about dealing with anyone on ebay use Paypal but use your credit card as your funding source. When it happened to me Paypal basically told me tough we can't recover anything so I called my credit card company told them I paid for something which I didn't receive and upon their investigation they reversed the charges. The best part was Paypal sending me an e-mail asking why I did that?????
Good luck
Paul
