Know who made this? It is being offered on Craigslist, but seller just moved to England... Pretty sure it is not made by the person/company they are claiming it is. Also positive the ad is phony. So, any idea who made this?

lol. A lot of sellers on CL seem to be moving to England. Quite a co-inkidink, don't you think? Anyways, to me it looks like a classic Bill Stroud Josswest. I think I've seen this cue, or a cue almost identical to it sold on here before, and IIRC, it was a JW.

Yup appears to be a Josswest. I too have seen a nearly identical cue on here. I am actually getting a Josswest in the mail today :) So excited!

Sellers name is Nancy, just moved to England 3 days ago. JossWest, including shipping from there to US for $700.00. Heck of a deal.

That cue was in Wisconsin a while back, probably within the last 6 months, a guy outside of Milwaukee owned it for a several years. He originally thought it was a Schon and had it advertised that way on Craigslist. After a little research it turned out to be a JossWest, which i found out from someone here on AZ, when they posted a old advertisement after i posted pics of the cue. I almost purchased it before Koinkid did, but i couldnt go check it out in person and he was willing to buy it from pics only. It only had one shaft at the time which I don't know if was original or not, also the butt cap had been replaced. From their I am pretty sure Koinkid matched a OB shaft to it and moved it down the road. I have no idea if the new ad is a scam or if someone else is trying to dump this cue since it doesn't have the original butt cap, which seems to be killing its value.

BTW: I have seen this England Scam now several times on Craigslist. They seem to be pulling pics off of Ebay and listing them on Craigslist. Some others have confirmed this on AZ previously.

the ad is in the Boise ID cl. The verbiage in the email response leads me to believe the person is not from here, or from England. Smells like other Nigerian scams to me.

Even with a replaced butt cap wouldn't this cue be worth more than $700.00?

It was offered to me for 400-450 if i recall from the owner in Wisconsin, I spoke to him personally on the phone before KoinKid purchased it. The WI seller confirmed he received a ck and send it to MN. I may still have the emails from my original inquiry about it, I was looking for a Schon at the time. I think KoinKid also had it listed here on AZ and then on Ebay at one point. Please post a link to the current ad so as many people as possible can mark it flagged. THx

maybe, maybe not

Need to see the entire cue. Either early joss - Dannys or jw. There is a player in Aberdeen maryland with a cue almost identical. Made by Danny in 1968.

I seen this add also here in missouri its fake add I knew once I got email back

Buyer beware

I have had emails from Nancy. Funny she knows the tip diameters down to the hundreth ofa centimeter, but cant answer a basic cue question.

Look if you find a custom cue on CL and they wont take Paypal, its a scam. If you buy without using a credit card to fund your purchase with paypal, you can be screwed by anybody, scammer or not.

I use a search of CL and can go there now and find another 10 scams at least. They will be in one city for awhile, then another using the exact same cue and description. I report them, but CL rarely takes them down.

That said, there are gems. A 1972 Gina was listed 5-6 weeks back with Fellini case for 550. I offerred 1000. Then 2000. The original owner said it was now going to be appraised. I called back the day he told me to. He said it was sold. I told him I hoped he got 3500 for it, I would have spent that just to see it, he got real quiet, somebody made a grest deal for themselves.

and the forearm. The whole deal. That is a buttsleeve. Could be anything.

Total scam and I believe it's nationwide on Craigslist, I ran into this same Nancy with the exact same store here in Chicago on CL, the only difference was it was a Palmer Supreme. When I told her I wanted to meet in a public place to check it out she never replied. I would suggest using a reverse image search which can be done through google or a site called tineye. It turned out she was using someone elses photo and I am fairly certain "she" has tried to sell multiple high dollar cues in multiple cities using the same MO. Buyer beware.

stop stop stop stop

It's exactly what this guy wants to be one page # 1 every 5 minutes. Hey buddy, if you currently own this cue put it up for sale. You already got your answer. It's all bs. So what else would you like to know. ????? . So either sell something or join a support group. But stop wasting our time. One more time for you. Then leave.
It's a Tim s cue or early joss. Fact one. Fact two. You don't own this cue. Fact 3 e everybody on az knows it's a load of crap. Fact 4 sell something or go away. Makes no difference to me.

It's a JossWest that Koinkid had and sold that was his picture from his eBay listing if Im not mistaken.
I sure think this is a SCAM and beware...
