Anyone use Renaissance wax on a CF shaft?

Can’t hurt to try it, as you can always wipe it down/off with alcohol on a cloth if you don’t like it.
I've heard that alcohol won't take it off, but I have heard some great reviews on using it on CF shafts on a different thread so I will give it a try. Thanks

Alcohol will remove it. Alcohol does not completely remove Renaissance wax from wood shafts as the wax is worked into the pores. The wax can easily be removed from a CF shaft.

I haven’t found a problem removing renaissance wax buildup from a wood shaft using 90% isopropyl alcohol. I sometimes find too much wax build up makes the shaft a little sticky, so I may periodically wipe it down rigorously with alcohol dabbed on a cloth, then may or may not start over with the Renaissance wax again.

Currently for my wood shafts I now use 3000 sandpaper and periodically wipe it down with the alcohol, which for me works as good or better than the renaissance wax. When I was playing with carbon fiber shafts, obviously I didn’t use the 3000 paper, but just wiped them down with alcohol as needed.

What am I missing? I've had the Revo for 2 years and it's the smoothest shaft I've ever used. I don't even wipe it down with anything.

I was thinking the same thing. A quick wipe with an alcohol pad every month or so and my carbon shaft plays like new. That is one of the reasons on why I switched.

I am curious if a polish would be better than a wax on carbon fiber? There certainly are a plethora of both products making all sorts of claims.

I’ve used Renaissance Wax on wooden cues, but I did not like how fast it hardened. That made it difficult to polish. Also, the shaft got tacky when I played in a warm room (not uncommon here in the south). Try Pledge furniture polish. Easy to remove if you don’t like it.

Same here, I use to use 10k sandpaper on my wood shafts and my revo is smoother. I still can’t comprehend using a glove on these things. How much smoother do you need?

I would like to try on my Becue shaft, anyone tried this was on theirs?
I have used liquid turtle wax on CF shafts and makes it real slick. I just hope it does not harm it in any way. I have another one in case it does but so far have had good results.
